I don't know if he's a POS, but it should have been better sourced...especially..
the high-class Bimbo eruption stuff. At least Bill has moved on to super models and celebrities, if we are to believe that article. But it would have been nice to see a few of those unnamed sources on record if he was gonna make that case.

2. I'm about halfway through it...
... and while it could very well be that Todd Purdum is a dick, I've yet to hear anyone (including Bill's staff) refute any of the facts the story purports.

8. It's hard to get people to go "on the record" when recounting rumors.
Edited on Mon Jun-02-08 08:15 PM by VolcanoJen
But these rumors have been going on for far too long now, and while I throw out the bulk of the claims, I do think there's some truth there. It's not as if Bill Clinton has given us any reason to believe he would never fool around, after all.

For the record, though, who gives a shit? But it certainly is fair to ask about Burkle if Bill's money is going to Hillary's campaign.

4. So turns out that Purdum was a John Kerry hater
Painting Kerry as an "actor" and "ruthless", and "loathed", etc., in one of the links you cited, specifically this one:

Vanity Fair finds no "proof" of Clinton affairs -- but spreads rumors anyway

5. Vanity Fair shouldn't run such an unflattering (!) piece without
solid sources.

7. He seems like a standup guy to me.
But then, arguing about authors of articles is sort of boring.

10. your link didn't get to an article just a google search page

If you take out all of the 'dating' stuff and just look at the associations that Clinton has since he left office that are detailed in the article and seem to be established fact, it would be impossible to vet the Clinton family for the VP posiiton.

When you run for President the people, press and opposition vet you. When your being considered for the VP position the nominee has to vet you. In this case it would be very complicated - without the tawdry stuff.

11. sounds like someone has..
personal issues with Bill Clinton. He could have said it all in one sentence instead of 8 pages.

12. I wish this article never came out
However, if Hillary was the nominee we would have 5 months of this crap.

13. I read the Vanity Fair POS
and it was so shitty it wouldn't even be worthwhile as birdcage liner.
