CNN reporting an Obama/Clinton ticket might happen
Edited on Mon Jun-02-08 08:24 PM by lynyrd_skynyrd
Apparently, Clinton is now begging for the VP spot.

Stand firm, Obama. Stand firm.

7. please don't barack
It's not that I dislike Hillary, its just that its time for a Clinton and a Bush to not be on the ticket for once. Its time to turn the page. Maybe a high ranking cabinet position?

16. She's not fit for any high level cabinet positions.
SecState and SecDef are off the table. She's too full of war and annihilation talk.

Those are the only two better than a Senate position, except AG. She could only really be the AG, but that's supposedly for Edwards.

38. How 'bout we TRUST Obama's judgment? Common folks...
We've poured our soul into this candidate. Are you telling me you don't trust him? If Obama thinks Hillary is the best choice for VP, why wouldn't you want him to pick her?

I for one will be thrilled and enthused with whomever he picks. If its Hillary, than GREAT!!!! Go Team!!!

43. Strange things happen when selecting a VP candidate. McGovern
chose Eagleton and within a day everyone knew Eagleton's medical history. RFK was dispatched to tell LBJ that he wasn't the choice, and before he got to Johnson's hotel suite, someone convinced JFK to pick up the phone and offer the position on the ticket to Johnson.

71. You can root for the football coach to call a fade pass to the endzone corner
and still support him when the run up the middle on 3rd and goal gets you a touchdown.

I won't be celebrating till the ball is spiked in the endzone if he chooses Hillary. For now, I'm in favor of a different play call.

80. Good god, I hope not.
I think its a big mistake. WhyTF would Obama want her around to stab him in the back, and why would he want Bill in the background?

Of course, she does provide an element of protection for Obama... what wingnut would off him if it meant HRC for president?

83. I want to trust Obama
But, I just can't see that ending well.
Bill's public behavior as an alleged advocate during this campaign has been out of control. He's an adult, and is free to do what he wants unless we throw humanity aside and put him on a leash. But really we do not deserve to have a loose cannon damaging our agenda.
Who knows at this point what could be expected from Hillary. She has been so unpredictable that it is hard to guess whether she would be a supportive VP.

I have the worst image in my head of Hillary playing the ex girlfriend having trouble moving on.
Not on the second ticket.
Confession: I watched "The Way We Were" the other day.
Maybe not a bad analogy (with some reversals and changes sprinkled in here and there) for what my impression of the impending doom may be, though. I am certainly grieving over what has become of my image of both Clintons and this primary!
