Harriet Christian speaks for me
except she's saying the completely wrong thing. But you know how she thinks Hillary is "the best nominee that's possible" and Barack is "inadequate"? Well, switch the names and that's pretty much how I feel about these two, and for that reason, I VERY STRONGLY OBJECT to the idea putting Hillary on the ticket.

I think at this point Obama frankly doesn't give a rat's ass who's on his ticket, as long as he can get the primary over with, and he needs to know that WE THE VOTERS do care. So I'll be joining pbca in sending his campaign a polite but firm e-mail to that effect at this address:

2. Absolutely agree.
But I worry that Obama might throw the Clinton hyenas a bone just to get them off his back. He's already thrown his own pastor and his church under the bus so I'm a little worried that he might bend under this wind too.

:scared:

4. Wow, what a weird thing for a "supporter" to say about Obama--
the "bus" comment. Thanks for making the RW argument against him. He's damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't, I guess.

preacher's mouth from now until November? Or his guest preachers? Why on God's earth would you use a Hillary/GOP attack line on him like " he threw them under the bus"? You should be fucking grateful he's taking steps to avoid further controversy.

9. In my opinion it wasn't necessary to denounce his pastor or his church, okay?
Edited on Mon Jun-02-08 08:50 PM by dailykoff
How would it have changed anything if he hadn't? He still lost PA and Kentucky and it doesn't make the slightest difference anyway.

What I'm saying is the guy is susceptible to pressure and he needs to know that this is one compromise he really, really shouldn't make.

10. Yes, it was absolutely necessary. It could've cost him even more loss of delegates
Edited on Mon Jun-02-08 08:52 PM by wienerdoggie
if he didn't separate himself from these goofballs---they were trying to hurt him. He didn't "cave"--he did what he had to do, not just for the primary, but so that Dems can win in November.

11. I disagree.
I think it showed weakness. Is he going to divorce his wife next? Come on. Wright and the rest aren't him, they don't officially represent his campaign, and if he's going to "renounce and reject" every friend he's ever had he's not going to be left with any friends.

15. He needs to know WHAT we're supporting.
He's a nice guy and a good speaker, but his support isn't coming from that, it's coming from the fact that people are horrified by what the neocons have wrought and putting one of their little enablers on his ticket to keep the CNN trolls happy would show that he's just as lacking in moral fiber as the Clintons.

3. It's his choice to make
I trust his judgment to lead him to the best conclusion as to what it is he needs most.

I don't want Hillary, either, but I won't add to the pressure on him.

5. Look, he's obviously under tremendous pressure to do it.
The Clintons are nothing BUT pressure. And I frankly don't want to wind up like Jeremiah Wright and watch the Clintons take over the freaking ticket because Obama decides he needs a little more "unity." Listening to him in Michigan makes me think he's hinting that he's considering it and that deserves a rapid response.

If he's running it up the flag pole, he needs to know that THERE ARE VOTERS WHO WILL OBJECT VERY STRONGLY TO A HILLARY VICE PRESIDENCY. That's the point I'm making.

18. Obama owes Hillary NOTHING!
She dug the trench, she can fill it in...

Money means nothing, the PARTY and the NATION need support!!! We need unity. Every minute costs us votes... John W. McSame gets a free ride... He doesn't know his own butt from a shiite, and his sunni from a terror cell.

His advisors probably show him XBox or PS3 games and tell him its REAL!!!
