Then on Wednesday, Obama will pick up a ton of SDs, putting it beyond her reach once and for all.

At that point, the party elders will tell her in no uncertain terms to drop it and go home.

After all, she has the right to actually wait till the Superdelegates actually cast their votes. She has the right to continue to fundraise until she's been officially beaten.

And here's one more thing. She has the ultimate argument that could persuade some of Obama's superdelegates to back her (she'd probably need to get only 1/5 of them to switch): A Unity Ticket. Everyone knows it doesn't work with her as VP, but it DOES work with Obama as VP. Sure, a lot of people would grumble - but they'd come around as long as there's still the chance he'll be president some day. And they probably know he'd have a better chance of winning the general election after having been VP for a time and giving the country a bit more time to get used to someone with the middle name "Hussein".
