With all the mess, one thing is positive I think
ALL states had the chance to vote. ALL of them. Now that is what I call "All votes count". Not only a bunch of the early states and then nobody cares what the rest wants. I don't understand anyway why it takes 6 months to vote.

1. Yes, that inspires voters in 50 states to turn out in November, too.
Many voters would never have met a Democrat walking to their door, or had a personal call, or met/seen a presidential candidate in person if not for the longer primary season and two candidates staying in the race to the end.

Much as I faulted Hilary for blasting Obama, once she finally learned to behave and play nice the end result will be positive for the party, I believe.

That rumbling sound you hear is the coming landslide in November.
:woohoo:

5. Exactly
I just think it is unfair to those voters that live in states who are voting really late. Like Montana and Indiana today.

Maybe that is what Senator Clinton ment with "All votes should count". Not only FL and MI, but also the late states.

And I can't wait for November when Senator Obama will become the first African-American president. :woohoo:

7. I believe that is a big chance for the democrats in November
a bigger turnout helps the Democrats. We know, the Repubs aren't happy with Senator McCain, so they might stay home. Esp. now that their "hate object" Senator Clinton won't be the Democrat candidate. Less reason for them to vote. Better chance for the Democrats to take over the White House again and start to clean up the mess * made in the last 8 years.

:)

8. In a way
your way to elect a candidate is the uttermost democratic way. The every day people decide who they want as their candidate/president. Only messed up is the electoral voting because then suddenly it isn't that democratic anymore because not the people's votes count but the states.

10. IN 1968, it started in March
States jumping in front of IA and NH is what keeps moving the date up. We should go back to a 3 month schedule, and with no more than 5 on one day so nobody has a chance to front load the campaign or buy it with money.

12. Guess it didn't work this year
I mean to buy the nomination with money. 3 months schedule sounds good to me.
