Important Notice for Domestic Abuse Victims who supported Clinton
I completely "buy" the idea that domestic abuse survivors supported Clinton in disproportionate numbers. I am sympathetic with the notion that her non-handling of Bill's abuse (and yes, running around is a form of abuse)resonated with domestic abuse victims. Clinton herself became a role model for women who suffer verbal and physical abuse, or have done so in the past. Probably the difference in her support among men and women is partially explained by this.

REMEMBER THIS-- you are voting for the Candidate, not the candidate's supporters.

If your choice is McCain or Obama, who will you select?

If you vote for McCain, or enable his election by not voting, you are voting for A PERPETRATOR of domestic verbal abuse. If you want to know more about this, do a DU or other search for the big C word and McCain.

Maybe you can't help enabling your domestic partner, but you DO NOT NEED TO ENABLE A POSSIBLE PRESIDENT!

7. Yeah....
I read that swill too...
sometimes it's just more prudent to let them be hoist on thier own petard, than to try to refute thier bullshit using thier examples. This is an offensive talking point no matter who is using it or why...

Other than that, have a great day :hi:

10. Much, much less offensive
Than Obama can't get the white vote. How much have we seen that?

Face it, there are women who are victims of domestic abuse. I don't know of any polls showing who they support, but Vera Agnes, a Clinton supporter seems to think a lot of them support Clinton. She may be right.

My point is IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM do they need to vote for a perpetrator of domestic VERBAL ABUSE-- McCain.

Just something to think about..........

6. I even think Vera Agnes made a good point
Some people are not taught logic. Just because a lot of domestic abuse victims supported Clinton DOES NOT MEAN THAT MOST OF HER SUPPORT CAME FROM THAT GROUP. Sheesh!

9. Some folks go around looking for every opportunity to be offended by one thing or another. I think
you just had the unfortunate opportunity to run into one of them, that's all. Happens around here all the time. Especially now.

15. How retarded.
Don't you think there are Obama supporters who are victims of domestic abuse? Jesus God. How retarded. I guess there are millions of victims of abuse supporting Clinton then if your thesis is on point. You have insulted all women who have been victims of abuse. We are not stupid because we were abused. We are not enablers because we were abused. Hillary Clinton was a victim of an unfaithful husband. She is not a victim of domestic abuse, so why would victims relate to her? You suck. You really suck as a promoter of Obama. I am glad he is not like some of his supporters I see here. I always have to remind myself of that when I read the posts of some of his supporters here on DU.

Doesn't anyone here read the greatest threads?

My point is that it is really dumb for a domestic abuse victim to enable McCain to be president.

According to her, Obama supporters were turning them off with their "abuse." I thought that was dumb!

17. So you decide to perpetuate the ignorance??
I did read that drivel earlier today. Neither you nor the poster you are citing have any relevant data that domestic abuse victims are drawn to Clinton or that they would vote for McCain if Obama were the nominee. I just find it insulting and degrading propaganda from both of you. That is my point.
