she's gonna do it without doing it
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080603/ap_on_el_pr/clinton

Hillary Rodham Clinton will concede Tuesday night that Barack Obama has the delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, campaign officials said, effectively ending her bid to be the nation's first female president.

...snip...

The former first lady will stop short of formally suspending or ending her race in her speech in New York City.

...snip...

On NBC's "Today Show," Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe said that once Obama gets the majority of convention delegates, "I think Hillary Clinton will congratulate him and call him the nominee."

In a formal statement, the campaign made clear the limits of how far she would go in Tuesday night's speech. "Senator Clinton will not concede the nomination," the statement said.

she's conceding but not conceding, congratulating but not congratulating, just like she apologizes without apologizing, and campaigns without campaigning.

Hillary Clinton's campaign just released more info.
1.) she wants all of the people to vote.
2.) she is going to be weighing their case with the superdelegates the next couple of days.
3.) they are thinking of appealing the Michigan decision.

PA rep just on and he is going on and on about Clinton's judgement and Tamron Hall says "Yeah, but. This case hasn't been working with the superdelegates recently, right? If I can put it so bluntly?" and he said "...No. Be blunt. I think most of them have made up their minds.." but he went on to say that getting out of the race is tough and that she should be allowed to make her case that she is stronger against McCain. Oops, now trying to sell the dream ticket.

5. *ell no she's still waiting for the month of June to be over.
You know there are always surprises. If she is not gracious tonight we can expect three more months of this crap from her. Too sad.

6. She does not want rumors of her dropping out to affect
voters today.

Then after all voting has finished she will use those totals to take to the bargaining table.

11. Well, after the View and every liberal radio host plus the AP has
already announced her dropping out, then they really dropped the ball on controlling the message. I am sure tens of thousands of voters in MT and SD already think she is ending this.

7. Love the triangulation - reminiscent of that old classic "But I didn't inhale"
Pathetic. The time has come for the super's to put an end to this charade.

10. She'll dog the summer campaign like a vulture in a pantsuit.
quietly waiting for the silver bullet that will override the election process and GIVE her the nominaion....

Except it won't, if there's anything I can say about it.

I'll go work for Edwards if some hideous sociological misfortune befalls Obama.
