1. I would never vote for neo-con Hillary Clinton for any office. You can "obliterate" that idea. n/t

2. I would disapprove, but not strongly
And I'd vote for the ticket in November.

13. No, I established this personal goal after voting for Kerry
it was after that election that I began to learn more about the DLC and it's negative impact on the Democrat Party. That is where I am at this point in time, working to remove the conservative DLC contingent from the party.

17. Not an option. They've both consistently voted to fund the war.
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 04:54 PM by Seabiscuit
Think of the options. Either you support the ticket, or you disapprove but vote for the ticket, or you refuse to vote for the ticket.

Keep in mind that not voting to fund the war, doesn't end the war.

31. Obama voted to support the troops with equipment
that is different than supporting the war. Hillary could use the same arguement, but then her other votes get in the way. Durbin even voted for the money for the troops.

15. Can't vote in the poll as I do not view Hillary as "evil," just a closet-Rethug, who as VP . . .
would be the only thing preventing me from voting for Obama. After seeing the Rovian tactics that Hillary displayed, I have to believe Obama has more sense than to pick her for the number two spot. But if he does, that tells me that maybe Hillary was right, he's not ready to be President due to lack of good judgment.

16. "closet Rethug" sounds about as "evil" as it gets around here.
If her being on the ticket, regardless of your subjective impression of the word "evil", prevents you from supporting the ticket or at least voting for the ticket, your appropriate choice in this poll is the third option.

Hope that helps.

21. It would also be a vote for Lanny, Penn, Wolfson, Ickes, DLC
The thing with this, is that it's not just one person, we're not just having Hillary jump on board. It's the entire team Clinton. Also, if we make this overture, what kind of power sharing agreements are we talking about here? Would we agree to something crazy like replacing Dean with Harold Ford? This isn't an overture to Hillary, it's bending over for the DLC. I don't like it.

You don't.

It's a very simple choice. A continuation of Bush policies or not.

Suck it up and vote for the Democratic ticket no matter who runs with Obama.

42. Damn fucking striaght
Hell, I am so far left that I make Obama look like William F Buckley and Rick Santorum rolled into one, yet even I am voting Dem in November. I can't understand the supposed Dems/liberals/progressives on this site refusing to vote for someone (as VP esp) merely because she was the opponent of their chosen primary candidate.

24. An Obama/Clinton (or vice versa) ticket has always been my first choice.
What is scary to me is the people that say they are Obama supporters but won't support him if he has a VP they don't like. What's up with that? I have never heard such nonsense and it makes me wonder what their agenda really is.

43. The only way I don't vote D
is the unlikely scenario of someone like Hagel as VP. That's just begging for a presidential assassination and a right winger to step in as president.

I think Obama is smarter than that, so I believe I will be voting D.

Everytime, like today, that I consol myself that Hillary is going to do what is best for everyone, then she pulls another one. It will take me awhile to get back where I can be okay with it. But I will vote for Obama no matter what.

Evil personified? 'Yes, enthusiastically' was good enough for choice number one, 'no way' would have done without further qualifier for choice 3. No need to personalize it.

35. I'll be voting for the Democratic ticket regardless
I'm not a big Clinton fan, but she may be Obama's best choice for strategic electoral purposes. (At the same time, I have some huge doubts about her on this front as well; I am really not sure at this point.) I'm not sure the two would be the best combination in terms of making an effective team in office, though.

Hillary is trying to push her way onto the ticket. I've seen many of her supporters pushing the idea, but it won't happen. She is part of the establishment. Myself and others are willing to walk away at even the slightest whiff of it happening.
