AP report a Hillary campaign attempt to steal the spotlight?
It would make sense. It's clear that this primary season has been a delicate competition of controlling the media pawns. Hillary was able to turn the media against Obama more by complaining about biased coverage. Obama has put a stifle on the Hillary camp by forcing her to constantly defend why she is staying in this primary race. This AP report appears to have effectively moved the media storyline away from Obama becoming the first black nominee for the Dem Party. This AP report has moved the media storyline toward Hillary Clinton and what her primary race will be remembered for. Seems to me this could have brilliant move to move the spotlight away from Obama crapping on the GOP Convention site and toward Hillary's historic attempt at the presidency.

1. That would imply that Hillary's ego knows no bounds
You're probably right then.

7. It would also imply that her campaign is that coordinated.
IMO, this was aides telling tales out of school and a hurried attempt to fix it so that her thunder isn't stolen.

8. Well, her ego is quite large
Why else would she refuse to apologize for the Iraq War vote? She even looked uncomfortable apologizing for her Bosnia sniper statements, where she was caught red-handed. The RFK assassination remark 'apology' was like pulling teeth. She seems to have a character flaw of being to proud to sincerely apologize.

13. Oh, yes, and Obama has NO EGO. Right.
Give me a fucking break. All political candidates have egos. But she didn't do this. Probably someone in the BO campaign did it.

11. That's Bill's theme too.
Telling people this might be the last time he's out on the campaign trail like this. The man seems to think it's a 3rd presidency for himself.

4. Delusions of grandeur?
I think her campaign is just falling apart and that's why we're getting conflicting stories this morning.

5. The AP report was about McAuliffe, but heres the spin and why it whirlwinded
"Hillary Rodham Clinton will concede Tuesday night that Barack Obama has the delegates to secure the Democratic nomination"

In a normal world that means she concedes he wins.

That is not what he meant, and not what they were referring to, you will note it does not and Terry did not say she concedes to Obama being the Democratic Nominee.

9. MSNBC: "This night will be about her and not Obama."
They're even staking out her home in Chappaqua, NY now. Very effective way to put the spotlight back on her. Not an easy thing to do when it's rumored that Obama will officially become the presumptive Dem nominee pretty soon. Huckabee wasn't able to steal the spotlight like this right before McCain officially became the presumptive nominee.

He who controls the media pawns controls their public image and public perception.

15. Very possible! I really don't see her conceding to Obama tonight. More likely a ploy
for her to get coverage. She would deliberately let her people talk about how she will concede just to get people to watch her speech. This speech will likely be all about her and why she should stay in. I don't trust anything from her campaign!
