Just Chill for 11 Hours People |
|
Our craving to know what we want to know when we want to know it is driving all this craziness today. When a campaign, any campaign, really wants to take an official stand either they issue a press release or the candidate makes a direct statement. There is no way on earth the Hillary Clinton campaign could confirm any report that in any way signifies that Obama has crossed a significant threshold toward winning the Democratic nomination for President RIGHT NOW, no matter what reported leaks are being reported on, no matter how anyone spins anything that anyone in the Clinton camp may have said yesterday or today. BECAUSE THE POLLS ARE STILL OPEN.
No way in Hell Hillary Clinton went to this much trouble to see ALL this through to the BITTER END so that ALL of America's voters get a chance to be heard (which is a good political stance and valuable to her legacy) only to have her campaign openly confirm that Obama has the delegates he needs for victory a few hours BEFORE the final polls close. If Hillary wanted to send that message it would have been sent last week. Or it will be sent tonight or tomorrow, after the last voter has voted.
Hillary Clinton staked out a position - she would see this through to the end and then look at the big picture then. Her campaign could not confirm rumors about Hillary acknowledging Obama had the delegates he needs before the polls closed now even if they wanted to. It would trample on the very message she has worked so hard (literally) to send. Getting up every morning to face another grueling day on the campaign trail, yesterday in South Dakota being only the latest. She didn't do that for nothing. The math hasn't changed between yesterday and today. "The race is on until the race is over" has been Clinton's constant mantra for months now, and minimally she has always repeated that the race isn't over before Democrats in every state have a chance to have their voice heard.
Repeat: THE POLLS ARE STILL OPEN.

4. Today, tomorrow, no big deal EXCEPT the Clintons and their disgusting political hacks |

are trying to use it to trash the Democratic Nominee.
No, she didn't do it for nothing. She's done it to try to force her way on the ticket, and it that doesn't work it's on to 2012. The Clintons and their hacks have worked overtime poisoning the well for Nov.
Finally, what is driving the craziness is the dysfunctional Clinton Camp.
One good thing out of all this - I see the Clintons for what they are and my father-in-law (a Republican) no longer argue about politics. He is a huge Obama supporter. My mother-in-law (a Clinton supporter) now supports Obama. Obama has definitely unified my family and it has been wonderful. I'm sick of the Clinton drama. They are an embarrassment.

6. Ooh, wait! Brrr! Too cold! |

It's OK, though, because it has been unseasonably warm here in Texas.
And I can wait until tonight.

I need to stop by the liquor store on the way home from work and I need to know if this is going to be a minor celebration (6-pack) or a full on victory bash (Champagne).
how rude for her to keep me in any further suspense.

It's a good time for reflection on all we Dems have been through this primary season. And time to anticipate the fight ahead to win the WH and take our country back.
Gooooo Dems!! Gobama!
