Hey, all you pissed-off women. Vote for McCain. (redux)
That's the right thing to do.

Vote for repeal of Roe v Wade.

Vote for endless wars to send your babies off to.

Vote for the impoverishment of the bottom 99.9% of the population.

Vote for the destruction of public education. Hell, schoolin' ain't gonna do your kids no good nohow because there will be no jobs for them.

Vote for a guy who doesn't know what a mortgage is. You didn't really need that house anyway.

Vote for a guy who wants to Bomb-Bomb-Bomb, Bomb-Bomb-Iran, even though he's kinda confused on who runs the country and doesn't know a Shiite from a Sunni.

Vote to deprive yourselves and your families of health care.

Vote for the guy who's drooling to turn the country over to corporate rule. (Oops--might be wrong on that one. Maybe he's just drooling.)

Vote for three more Supreme Court Justices to the right of Alito, Scalia and Roberts. That'll make sure the next two or three generations will have reason to remember how mad you are.

Yeah. Vote for McCain.

That'll show us evil, sexist bastards a thing or two.

4. OK, so not voting is only half a vote for McCain.
I guess I should be only half as pissed at them.

explain please the half vote thing.

Does that mean the millions of non-voting Americans that never vote in an election are automatically casting half a vote for McCain?

Ive only thought the only person you contribute a vote for is the person you subsequently vote for.

18. LOL! no reason to be pissed at them at all, they NEVER intended to vote democratic
if they don't now, they never intended to, because they were cultists of personality and not true democrats... so their votes were never ours anyhow.

20. I happen to know at least two women personally who are voting for McCain even
though they've been lifelong Dems and supposedly feminists. They are not GOP trolls, but they might as well be.

And sitting out the election is halfway there.

they might not be trolls but they are SEVERELY stupid and delusional
I hope they don't have children who are draft bait, the asses. My condolences. All my hickory friends have come over to the party again no matter who the candidate is.

19. T. Hartmann explained it best about an hour ago:
A vote for McCain is a vote for THE CULTURE OF DEATH!!

-more wars

-reduced/eliminated reproductive rights

-reduced access to health care

-reduced regulation, allowing for the accelerated destruction of the planet

Should I go on?

And that's what your candidate should be worried about.

22. To the "No one if not Hillary" folks, OK fine, don't vote.
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 01:35 PM by csorman
But don't expect us to humbly accept your reasoning and invite you back in with open arms. In MN we have a long-time feminist and "mother" of the DFL movement who has pledged not to vote in the election since Hillary won't be in it.

As a Deaniac who, like so many others, spent hundreds of hours campaigning for the good doctor, it was truly hard to accept that I needed to vote for John Kerry. But not only did I vote for him, I worked for him and provided training at GOTV centers every weekend before the election, and spent tons of time phonebanking and training volunteers. He didn't win, but we didn't think "well, I told you so!" Instead we all picked up, dusted off and started working on our local races vis a vis the 50 State Strategy. Now we have another candidate we believe in, who is going to be the nominee, and it is time to pull together for the sake of this beaten-down party.

Our ideals and knowledge of what is right in this world are at stake - and they must not be sacrificed. If Hillary had been the nominee, I would have had no problem voting for her. Roe is too important, as are so many other things that will be in peril if McSame weasels his way into the WH.

But for those "feminists" who say to hell with Obama, don't bother trying to explain it to me. I won't listen.

24. Hell, I haven't voted for my Primary choice since maybe McGovern.
In '06 I wanted Udall. In '80 I went with Carter for pragmatic reasons. '84, Mondale wasn't at the top of my list. '88, I wasn't really thrilled by anybody. '92 ditto. '96--like '80; I went with the sitting President for pragmatic reasons. 2000-Bradley. 2004-Dean. So I'm pretty used to not getting my way and then making what seems to be the best choice available to me.

25. they.don't.care.
they didn't get their way, so they'll vote for McCain. None of what you point out matters to them. Some meanie at DU made them cry, so they'll vote for McCain. Sure, they'll cry when their child is killed after being drafted to fight another useless war, but dammit voting for McCain felt good at the time. They sure showed those Obamatrons. By god, they showed them.
