I don't know if that's it, but if he decides it is, he'll jump on it.

I'm thinking she was raised in Illinois near Chicago, ended up married to Big Dog in Arkansas and "retired" to NY.

25. At least she is facing the reality of the math now
I doubt she will be VP. I imagine she is on the short list. I suspect it will be a non-senator that fits the competency test.

Ideally Edwards (but I doubt he'd take it) or Gov. Sebelius.

8. Won't happen. Blog from NYTimes, Hillary picks up Ausman Super D
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 02:27 PM by 48percenter
He says no way it's going to happen.

The Caucus

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/06/03/the-superdelegate-tally/index.html?hp
Updated | 3:03 p.m.: Score one for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Mrs. Clinton just picked up her first superdelegate of the day, with the endorsement of Jon Ausman, a Florida member of the Democratic National Committee.

Mr. Ausman told The Palm Beach Post that he was leaning toward supporting Mr. Obama until Mrs. Clinton called him this morning and asked for his endorsement.

“She has hundreds of thousands of supporters he needs and we need to work together,” Mr. Ausman said.

According to Mr. Ausman, Mrs. Clinton said she’d “think about” accepting the vice-presidential spot on the Democratic ticket.

But in April, as an uncommitted superdelegate, Mr. Ausman sounded grim about the prospect of a joint Obama-Clinton ticket.

“There’s not a chance,” Mr. Ausman told The Times in an interview. “This has turned into a battle of egos, and strong personal animosity has slipped into this.”

~~~~~
my take:How many people think it's gotten any better since April? Hell no -- it's become WORSE!!
11. I say DO IT!
It would say sooooooo much for this African American man to ask the opponent who was closest to defeating him to be his Veep.
It would not only unite a party.
In a single move, it would unite a naiton in a way that nothing else could and it would result in a landslide victory and mandate to move forward with a progressive agenda.
JUST DO IT!
32. Wht fucking powers does a Veep hold?
She'd preside over the Senate and cast any tie breaking votes in a Senate with a filibuster proof majority.
Beyond that,. she does what Obama tells her to do.
It's win-win.
42. I dunno. We could ask Cheney, I suppose - as if he'd say.
Or if Obama makes the stupidest move of his career and chooses Hillary for VP, we could ask Bill. He'd then be in a position to explain the new reality - for the slow learners amongst us.
this woman does not lose gracefully. I admire her tenacity but not her campaign or her stand on the war. I will vote for Obama regardless of her being on or off the ticket but if she is on, I will not like it.
33. No, don't do it Hillary!
I can't think of a worse way for her to ensure her irrevelancy.
Stay independant, Hillary! Don't put your career under Obama's thumb.
You've built a huge base of support of your very own with this campaign. Use it to *finally* chart your OWN course, not to once again play second fiddle and loyal helpmeet to some man.
(That's the feminist in me speaking...)
41. Unless Obama has openly put her on a shortlist, saying that should disqualify her.
Unless Obama has given his go-ahead for her to be saying things like that, a statement like that in these circumstances is the most reprehensible political move she could make, bar none. If, for whatever reason, Obama doesn't intend to ask her to take the VP position, her statement is the most divisive and polarizing she could make on this day, bar none.
One thing Hillary has proven in this primary, is that she has very poor leadership skills.
