One Thing That Makes Me Wonder if there's been a deal in the works |
|
for a few weeks now:
For a while now, Hillary has been proclaiming herself "ahead in the popular vote". This does not seem to be challenged by Obama or his surrogates (or if so, I haven't caught them, so they aren't challenging it the majority of the times it's brought up). The press seems to be parroting it unchallenged at this point, though I have seen it challenged in the past.
Since any lead she could have in popular vote is based on VERY suspect and subjective accounting... I have to wonder if the two campaigns made a deal to frame the last stretch of the primaries this way?

2. Yes, when you're on the ballot and your opponent isn't in two very populous states, |
|
that would put you ahead in the popular vote. But meaningless and obfuscating the truth...kinda like catapultin' the propaganda if you ask me.

3. Think of the theater, too |
|
The timing of everything, and the fact that the people of Montana will be the ones that push him over the top. The last primary race on teh last day of primary races.
Then he magnanimously turns to Hillary Clinton, takes her hand, and raises it in unity after weeks of a hard fought fight. Unity to overturn 8 years of baloney from the right.

5. Why does he always have to be magnanimous? I think she is fundamentally incapable of that and yet |
|
it seems to always be required of Obama. I guess that's very SEXIST of him.
I don't think much of your idea.

6. She is PRECISELY what one wants in a Veep nominee |
|
She is the ULTIMATE ATTACK DOG.
And McCain's veep would never know what hit her/him.
In fact, for the first time in U.S. history, there may be several people on the GOP side offered the veep spot who decide to turn it down BECAUSE it is Hillary on the other side.
Such a team would strike such fear into the eharts of those who are enemies of freedom on the right that we couldn't hope but win.

9. Well, when I say "deal in the works", I am not thinking VP so much |
|
as other things, simply because I don't think VP is likely (or the best choice for the ticket, imo).
What those other things are, I don't know; but there are plenty of things for her to try and exercise political power over.

8. That doesn't address this issue |
|
this isn't about Hillary, it's about her surrogates constantly pimping, unchallenged, the meme "she's ahead in the popular vote", when in fact she is not ahead in the popular vote.
