21. The VP
Is next in line for the job of president if anything should happen. Putting a person on the ticket that is the poster child of what needs do be "changed" in D.C., is not helping get votes from everybody what wants to see "REAL" change. Obama needs to pick a VP that has his same ideas, and goals, so if God forbid anything did happen to him, his dream would carry on, not be swept under the carpet and forgotten!

51. The Vice President's only constitutional responsibility is to break ties in the Senate
Pretty much all other authority is delegated to the President. If Hillary wants any power as VP, she will get on board with the change movement pretty quickly.

15. ITA. It would be a GREAT get-out-the-vote drive and voter-registration drive for the GOP...
And the new GOP voters might so enjoy smacking Hillary around in the voting booth, they might just show up in future elections to see if it is as much fun to smack other Democrats around in the voting booth.

So, not only would she doom Obama's chances in 2008, she would doom other Dem politcians' chances in future elections. Look at it like a heinous two-fer only Hillary Clinton could deliver to the Democratic Party.

For other reasons Hillary would destroy Obama's administration:

Yeah, it might win the election (and then again, it might not --
nothing will energize the tepid Thug base behind Bomb Bomb more
than HRC), but it would lead to absolute CHAOS in the White House.
There'd be the Obama power base, and the Clinton power base --
same thing that happened during the Clinton-Gore administration,
where there were 3 DIFFERENT POWER BASES (Bill, Hill and Gore).

NO FUCKING WAY!!!

Each one is problematic enough- put them together and and the effects are multiplicative.

I have no power in this matter... It is Obama's decision... but this is an MSM, War profiteer owned media... PUMPED UP, faux issue... democratic unity would NOT be a problem in November

Clinton supporters are unwitting dupes on this issue...

further... this is blackmail... a supremely selfish act

26. fault
Obama has no great love for Hillary, but he knows he can't win without her. It's his own fault for directing his appratchiks to vilify her to such an extent over the last several months. Blaming her for NAFTA, Iraq, the death of Affirmative Action, outsourcing, Welfare Reform, etc. Despite the fact that there's no way in hell President Obama will ever spend an ounce of energy to reinstate or rollback any of these programs.

I must admit, however, that the line above (re: Menedez Brothers' Adoption) was not original but from the comments of an Democratic Strategist (MSNBC) I overheard about three weeks ago.

Because I have such a warped sense of humor, I filed that away. ;) Thanks anyway and if I catch his name, I'll let ya know via PM, i.e., he must have a few more pearls of wisdom stashed away. :hi:

54. LOL! I did... and the result was not pretty!
Personally, I've always adored Hillary... this primary has been an eye opener for me but I won't hold it against her and won't say anything bad about her either. I'd just rather see her in a Cabinet position rather than VP due to my own experiences talking to indies and repubs who are currently for Obama. Just my two cents which isn't worth a whole lot. :-)

The only landslide would be for McCain. Every thing Hillary said about Obama in the primaries would be on TV in ads paid for by republicans showing that even his VP choice thinks he is not qualified to be the president! It would be huge mistake on his part to pick her.

to have both on the ticket on the 45th anniversary of MLK's I have a dream speech. However, there is baggage and damage done by the Clinton's during the primary.

Republicans are already using Clinton to attack Obama. :(

72. how can she be VP is she won't even acknowledge he is the nominee-to-be?
I thought it was possible, but after tonight, I think she ruined her chance.

The irony is that her negative campaigning ruined her chance at this nomination, it won her some late victories, but it soured many of us who would have voted for her until we noticed how she ran at the Democrats harder than she's even done against the Republicans.
