Can the HRC supporters please let the Obama supporters enjoy our victory tonight? |
|
This has been a very long and hard fought road by both candidates. There has been much talk on this board about being sensitive to the Clinton supporters, and I agree. Senator Clinton ran her heart out, she and her team did their best and based on the numbers, she has been mathematically eliminated from obtaining the nomination. She and her supporters deserve some sensitivity and respect for a hard fought race.
As much as I know it hurts you guys to see this day come and see your candidate come in 2nd, just know that Obama, his team, and his supporters have worked for, hoped for, and wanted for his victory as much as you wanted for hers. As historic as it would have been for Hillary to get the nod, it's equally as historic for Obama to get the nod today.
Please let us enjoy this. In fact, let us all enjoy this. It's a historic day for the not only the democratic party but the nation.

Personally, I expect this place to be a cesspool of HillBot bullshit until Skinner cuts them off.

6. Your colleagues seem to be immune to their opponents' calls |
|
for sensitivity, and so I don't see your call for maturity going very far.
HRC supporters often seem to be no more grown up. I think that's an acquired trait, though, but class and breeding tell. Still, most of their vitriol's been muted by comparison to what BO-ites have put out, if only because there's less to be vitriolic (or caustic, if you prefer the other extreme of the scale) about.
Let's hope that HRC and BO are themselves more grown up than many of their more ardent and, shall we say, outspoken supporters.

10. And despite what the MSM is shoving down our throats |
|
I just turned the TV on 30 minutes ago and I swear the ratio of them saying HRC's name vs saying Obama's name is at least a 10:1 ratio.
Guess they are trying to convince viewers to NOT tune out after tonight..ratings and all, you know.

If the shoe were on the other foot I would be feeling the same way, I get it and understand.
Seriously, she blazed trails big time for women in politics...it's a huge plus for her and the party. She did great!

Seriously I mean it...I hope she gets to reap the benefit of this. Her candidacy has truly prepared the country for the realistic thought of a female president.
If not HRC reaping the benefits, I can truly say, whichever woman does end up with the nod it will be because of this run.
I mean it, I congratulate you.
