Poll: House Dems Headed For Massive Victory This Fall
By Eric Kleefeld - June 3, 2008, 3:26PM

Are House Democrats on the verge of an unprecedented second "wave election" in a row -- one that could win them up to another 45 House seats?

That's the astonishing finding of a new survey by the Democracy Corps, the Democratic polling firm run by Stan Greenberg and James Carville.

The new survey polled 1,600 people across 45 GOP-held districts, ranging from the competitive Tier 1 to harder-to-reach Tier 2 with the named incumbents and their opponents used instead of generic match-ups. The aggregate results showed the Democratic candidate winning the Tier 1 races 51%-42%, and the edging out the GOP 48%-45% in the Tier 2 match-ups, though they trailed 43%-51% in the "rural/small town" category.

3. we have two senators and one congressman in our state and we
could unseat at least two of them, Stevens and Young. that would be HUGE given that it would mean at least 2/3 of the state went blue.

4. That'd make it nearly 280 (D) - 155 (R)
A 64% majority.

5. If it follows the 06 form, the electronic voting machines will be tilted
enough to insure that what should be a tidal wave becomes a modest victory. I suspect that's what will happen.

For the 06 mid-terms, the discrepancy between the exit polls and the actual machine-counted results was flipped by about 5-7%, so that the overall victory was far less than it should have been. <www.electiondefensealliance.org>

I feel sure the same thing will happen here. The only danger I see is that the machines will be pre-programmed to tilt even more to match the expected Dem landslide. In 06, the Foley scandal came only a few days before the vote so that the tilt had already been programmed in and could not be easily increased; thus, the stronger landslide upset the fraudulent apple cart.

Hope I'm wrong and the landslide happens this time, both for the legislators and the Obama-McCain contest. We'll see. Surely people will see there's something wrong if the results are askew this time, but I've thought that in the past. To paraphrase somebody, nobody ever went broke overestimating the gullibility of the American public. When it comes to the voting machines, it's actually the elections officials who are the air heads and idiots. When the vote is counted in total secrecy without verification, it's impossible to have a democracy. That should be clear enough for anybody to understand.
