Soooo...for how long do you think she's known?
I'm not in unity mode, yet.

I support the Democratic Party, but I can't get over the idea that we've been held hostage. That she's known for weeks and has just been padding her stats and worst of all, sinking her hooks deeper and deeper into her "supersupporters" (I just saw that term in another thread).

She's been poisoning her most loyal supporters against Obama, and swearing that she'd fight clear to the convention, so that she could play this little brinksmanship game, knowing for a FACT that she wasn't going to get the nomination.

All so that she could get the VP slot that she KNOWS the Obama Campaign doesn't want her to have.

I mean, think about it. Lord knows she hasn't won over any Republicans or Independents to her campaign. So what does she have to offer except her Democratic supporters--supporters that the actual nominee should get ANYWAY?

So what does she do?

She turns Obama into a race-baiting, elitist, degrading woman-hater. She plays victim. She plays the "girl" being attacked by the "boys" because she wants to play quarterback on the football team.

And how on earth is she going to be on the Obama ticket? In the last couple of days, Bill Clinton has said, "They had all these people standing up in this church cheering, calling Hillary a white racist, and he didn't do anything about it. The first day he said 'Ah, ah, ah well.' Because that's what they do-- he gets other people to slime her."

Hillary herself said that both she AND McCain were more qualified to be Commander-in-Chief than Obama. How does she explain that away?

I'm going to need a few days to be disgusted before I can feel okay about this possibility.

1. She's done huge damage of a kind which was meant to permanently stigmatize her opponent.
Its disgusting. She won't be on the ticket if only because her presence will be a continual reminder of the baseless accusations of her campaign and her surrogates.

2. No one was "held hostage", honey.
You were in a Primary Election trying to win.

The melodrama here is endearing, if not laughable.

So dramatic.

"We were held hostage by Hillary, but she's a dog. So a dog held us hostage."

The ignorance is breathtaking.

3. Rest assured, the Obama WE believe in will NOT make that mistake
She'd have to be FULLY vetted (as Tom Brokaw pointed out today, including
getting the details on donors to the Clinton Library and Foundation), and
I don't know if she and Bubba will want to go through that.

We all need to stop responding to HER ... The Clintons no longer wield
dominant power in the party and he will NOT be pressured into doing this.

4. *nods*
I agree. She's known for a long time that there was no hope of winning. She was not delusional, just malicious. And while she didn't get the opportunity to take a huge chunk out of Obama, you know she was just waiting, salvitating, for a chance. Hoping something would come up.

And the idea of her as V.P is ludicrous. They're styles are so different, it wouldn't be a compatible match.

It's past time for the Hill-n-Bill show to be put out to pasture

10. I think they all knew after Indiana but had to see it through to the end...
at least, until Obama amassed enough delegates, which happens to be the end of the primary season. :)

15. She's KNOWN since shortly after Super Tuesday when McClatchy surveyed super delegates
and the numbers were overwhelming in Obama's column. Clinton camp knew this.

Every attack they've made against Obama that bolstered McCain was deliberate.

20. She's known for MONTHS that she would not win
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 06:38 PM by Growler
...the nomination OR the VP slot -- but has actively mislead her supporters. They should have had the past 3 months to grieve and move on and support the Democratic nominee.

Unfortunately, many are just now waking to the idea that she's not going to be on the ticket. And they're going crazy. And they should have done this months ago.

Hillary actively deluded and tricked her followers, trading their emotional energy for pointless media time. Instead of Obama being able to celebrate his win tonight as the first black candidate, once again we are all trying to talk Hillary down from the ledge:

"I'm going to jump! I'm swear this time I'm really going to do it!!"

Sadly, no one hears her cries because they've all left for the party down the street.
