Tweetius Interrupticus -the OFFICIAL Tweety Thread! |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 06:57 PM by PCIntern
Isn't Tweety just...well...EBULLIENT tonight??!!?
These reasons are just a few of why this is so:
1. Hillary lost. He has spent the last I-don't-know-how-many-years campaigning against her and, as Tweety's wife once said to him: Get ready, 'cause TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!!!!1 And he's just as happy this evening as he was THAT evening.
2. Barack Won. This is good news for Tweety because he feels that he has a chance to be the journalist-on-the-scene when HISTORY IS MADE. He thinks back to all those moments when TV broadcasting is reprised and images of Walter Cronkite, Huntley/Brinkley, Frank McGee, Peter Jennings and the like. imagine adding the name of:
TWEETY
to that group. The mind does boggle and the tingle just goes right up the leg.
3. His medications are kicking in. Whatever he's taking seems to have changed his somatic symptoms but has given him a mania which is not his usual spittle-filled diatribe. One exception to that is his propensity to interrupt a la Tweety: he asks a question, allows a beat-and-a-half pregnant pause, and then asks a supplemental, unnecessary question over the poor-asshole who's trying to answer the question in the first place. He repeats the question using alternative language so it isn't more enlightening than it was before, it's just the schtick of the TWEETY SHOW.
4. They got his hair right. When they accidentally dyed it red the other day, ti must have been disconcerting. Now that he's a bottle-blonde again, and thinks he resembles a young Troy Donahue, he's "on" his "game".

Tweety is going to Harold "No one can relate to him, he went to all of these elite schools!" (um, most politicians have, bucko), and Harold said "I don't want to say anything about McCain's wife that can be seen as disrespectful...but, McCain married into a beer fortune." LOL. Finally, some one said it. I can tolerate him more without Joey Scarbs.

Setting her up for the fall... |

so to speak. They built her up so that they could make her credible so that they could destroy her...sounds weird, but that's how the media works. If they don't champion her, she can't fall as far.
At least, that's my opinon...FWIW.

|
First - His more than obvious CRUSH on Michelle Bernard. Everytime he introduces her, he gets this smitten grin on his face and I somehow think he's gonna blurt out "wanna be my gurlfrien?"
Second - The way he just cracked up when Harold Ford Jr. said McCain married into a Beer Fortune. It *was* funny the way he said it, but still...
I'm sure I'll be adding more as the night goes on...

46. p.s. MSNBC is trying to get rid on Mathews. They think David |
|
Gregory is the golden child. And Keith, as well. Chris has always been jealous of all the adoration Russert gets. I simply don't get it. Chris is a million times more intelligent than Russert !
BTW, Chris's contract is up next year. They will probably drop him because his ratings are low. Big mistake, IMHO, if they do.

'cause Pat doesn't pussyfoot around - he's just a racist, anti-Semitic, homophobe, who hates everyone and is a sociopath of the first order. Tweety parses all this stuff and asks questions like: How does Obama get everyone on board who's not African-American?..or words to that effect. Pat screams (literally): whites ain't gonna vote for Obama.

He was talking about Hillary's presidential litmus test thing, where she and McCain were ready and Barack was not. Then he made his tree house remark. I can't do the leadup and phrasing justice, but it was surreal enough I did a doubletake as well. I'm sorry I didn't have the DVD running.
A little earlier he was talking about lingo, then stopped himself and said something about an embargo. They all laughed like it was a running topic. What was that all about? Are they purposely not talking about some things?

I don't have to agree with someone to like him, or get a kick out of him might be a better way to say it.
I think that the guy is truly just a lover of politics, more than having a particular party agenda. He's a goofball, and it amazes me that he ever became such a well-known media figure, but he's enthusiasm and sometimes his antics entertain me in a pleasing way. :)

I mean, I actually think it's genuine (maybe partly sucking up), but the people on the receiving end just look really awkward about it. Today he said to Andrea "Thank you, Andrea. God, I've been watching you throughout the primary race, and you've just been so great. It's been so great working with you", and she kind of looked uncomfortable and said "Thanks...thank you." And then recently on Hardball, he had panelists on discussing Obama VP prospects (and frankly, I wasn't too impressed with their suggestions. DU would have done a much better job), and he stopped and seemed soooo impressed and said "WOW! This is one of the smartest panels I've EVER had!" Haha.
