Harold Ford sounds like a Damn Republican
First I would like to say....GOOOOOOOBAMA!!!

This is a great and historic night in American history. We are WATCHING history unfold before our very eyes. After all this country has gone through in blood, sweat, and tears. Slavery, Civil War, and Civil Rights...everything has lead to this day and I am PROUD to be an American!

I just want to say though, that Harold Ford, in his DLC sidetalk was giving major props to John McCain is a very underhanded way. Meaning, he wanted it to seem as if he wasn't complimenting him...but really was. This guy is so transparent and annoying as hell!

19. He sure wanted Obama to come to TN to campaign for him in 2006
He couldn't get enough of him back then - complimented him all the way around. Then ran the other way and turned into Bush lite.

13. He should just be a Republican, maybe he could actually win an election playing
for the other team. At least it would be honest of him. Instead of being a freeper lite DLC'r.

17. GREAT synopsis by Booman:
Harold Ford Jr., appearing on MSNBC, seemed more pissed than happy that Barack Obama has won the nomination. All he talked about was how great McCain's speech was (and I literally almost fell asleep during McCain's speech) and how hard it is to run against a guy that's tough on defense and wants to cut taxes. It looked like the specialness of the moment for people that look like Ford Jr. was totally lost on him and all he cared about was that the DLC just got obliterated like they were Iran or sumthin'.

18. We had to deal with this scumbag here in Tennessee
I worked on his campaign - the man doesn't know a Republican that he doesn't want to felate. It's all about triangulation, typical of the DLC.

20. I heard what he said about McCain. I didn't see it that way at all.
It was one of those insider take-a-speech-apart, tactical looks at McCain's speech. I thought it was pretty informative and insightful. He categorized the several ways that McCain had put Obama in a particular "frame," as Ford put it, and then identified those several ways. He was pointing out what Obama will need to do soon to combat those attempts to define him by McCain (in Ford's opinion).

Good review of teh speech. Except that I didn't agree that it was one of the best speeches McCain has given lately, of the ones I've seen.
