Obama gives Lieberman "the treatment"
This HuffPo article can't help but remind me of "the treatment" Senator and President Johnson would give other legislators:

Using forceful, but not angry, hand gestures, Obama literally backed up Lieberman against the wall, leaned in very close at times, and appeared to be trying to dominate the conversation, as the two talked over each other in a few instances.

1. I like this
Obama is now the head of the Dem party and Lieberman needs to understand who he is caucusing with. Independent Democrat my ass.

I can hardly wait till the GE when Joe is finally marginalized for good.

3. I sure would like a transcript of that little chat.
I'm thinking it had to do with an understanding reached during the Lamont/Lieberman Democratic primary race in CT in 2006, and the attendant loyalty expected in return should Obama win the nomination in 08.

Lieberman -- what do you just bet -- assumed in 06 Obama had no chance and so he nodded his head. Now History has played yet another trick on Holy Joe and Senator Obama came to cash in the favor.

I bet Lieberman got it handed to him in that conversation, and I bet Obama did most of the talkin'.
