Hillary doesn't want a non-Hillary woman as VP?
I heard on the Young Turks that Howard Fineman reported that Hillary is adamantly against the idea of a woman that's not her on Obama's ticket. Is this true? If so, this level of selfishness is astounding, and would completely undercut the limp legs of her newfound feminist slant to her candidacy. Why shouldn't another woman be offered the VP slot if she is qualified? In Hillaryland, is she the only qualified woman in the entire country? Is she the only woman entitled to power and history? My god...

8. Bill has been quote here on DU as having said as much
Sorry I don't have a link to it, but I did see that kind of statement as a direct
quote here.

10. Bill was discussing Obama's choice of VP?
doesn't make sense to me, it would mean he was acknowledging Hillary lost.

13. I don't blame you for not taking my word for it. I also found it hard to believe.
I'm pretty sure the quote exists, but tried googling but came up short.

trouble is I don't remember his exact wording, so not sure how to find it.

whatever.

3. Yeah, an editoral on a radio show proves it.
:eyes:

Another "reportedly" and another editorial taken as fact.

Why should she want to be the VP? What is she, the only other major Democratic candidate at the time of the delegate total or something?

Do you just not understand how they pick the VP or what? If he actually does support her--which he might, because she got the popular vote--I think 75% of the people who post on DU will go out and commit hara-kiri.

Wow, you hate her. What would you do without your hatred of her? Take up card games?

5. wow. I'm going to have to make an exception and put you on my ignore list
I was hoping not to have to do that this week, but honestly, this is the second thread where I've seen you come completely unhinged and out of proportion to what is actually being said.

4. I can understand that
It would be like a slap in the face

Trying to force her way on the ticket has really backfired, I think he would have picked if not for the pressure. If he picks her now it looks like he can be bullied

6. Says a lot for her commitment to feminism, doesn't it?
Also says she has a pretty incomplete understanding of how this works. She doesn't get to pick *his* VP.

You know, there are smarter ways to go about this from her POV. She could have a cozy chat with him, and offer her *advice* about the downsides to other female candidates. Manipulative? Anti-woman? Sure, but a bit smarter politically, wouldn't it be?

She needs to get on board the Democratic train now. And she needs to do it loud and clear and with huge support for *our* nominee.

I am sorry that you do not get it, but it would be the same had Hillary won and put another person of color on the ticket other than Obama

14. It's all about me, me, ME! They must owe many political favors to the people
who donated to the Clinton library. This is becoming more and more bizarre.

19. That is the correct answer...TeamClinton has been compensated for services rendered...
and services to be rendered in the future. But the latter is not going to happen now. I wonder if that is a breach of contract?

16. She needs to understand this:
it's not about what she wants anymore. She has no say so nor should she since she is not the nominee of our party on who gets to be VP.
