Anyone see James Carville this am on one of the network shows?
I forget which one. Anyway they asked him why he seemed kinda quiet. He said he was up late last night. They asked him if he would support Obama. He said he'd send Obama a check as soon as Hillary gave him the ok. He didn't say he would do whatever she said and that she might win. He said he would send Obama a check when she said he could. Sounds to me like he was one of the people who encouraged her to drop out. Usually I really don't like Carville, but he impressed me this morning.

2. I agree. Even last night on CNN, he was moderately gracious, and seemed to have accepted
Obama's win ... and seemed to be having fun bashing McCain instead of Obama.

6. Yes, I hated her too - until I saw them together last week in NOLA
at Tulane's commencement. He absolutely adores her. I think it's high time we all (my own hating self too) got
on the O wave and stopped hating so much. I have been hating Bush for 7 1/2 years. I am so ready to stop.

15. jeez louise, Laura, this has nothing to do with "hate"!

Mary Matalin's official bio at her site opens with the boast:

"Mary Matalin formerly served as assistant to President George W. Bush and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney, and was the first White House official to hold that double title."

As when the association between Mark Penn and Charlie Black is mentioned, it has nothing to do with "hate", it has to do with political reality. The two are colleagues in the identical company and Charlie Black was one of Hillary's top advisors.

The plain fact is that these people are pure poison!

Did you have someone else in mind for him? Those 2 adore each other and their children.

14. Carville revealed Kerry's Ohio recount strategy to Bush and Cheney, via Matalin.
He's a slimeball.

5. don't worry a bit about James. Obama would be very wise to give
him a call! He'd be a great asset. He said several weeks ago that he had his check written
and was anxious to date it ! I think he and Begala HAD to support Hillary. But I bet you
anything - they have been jealous as hell over the O tidal wave!

7. A great asset? That's a joke, right?
The guy is poison. He would sell out Obama for thirty pieces of silver, and laugh about it on Fox News with his pals the very next day.

Fuck Carville with a red-hot poker.

17. Not.
Carville's going back home to that pink monstrosity he lives in with that lipless cadaver, and soon become a footnote to a sad part of our nation's political scene.

Obama wouldn't use Carville for a doorstop.

8. His buddy Paul Begala said the same thing
on Larry King a few minutes ago. Will send Obama campaign a check for the max as soon as Hillary says he can go. He also said he is going to call up the Obama campaign and volunteer.

11. actually I think his private advice to candidates is always very frank and quite accurate
its the persona on TV that is so revolting.

It was the revolt of the NY superdelegates led by Charles Rengle that ended it.

team of loyal people helping him out and we don't need to worry about the dlc carville getting his mitts on anything.

13. I've always kind of admired him
And the way he could set aside one of the most important things to him-politics-and see Mary for the person she was inside. He must see good things in her that I have never been able to see. Their daughters are really cute too. I disagree completely with Mary about everything and I've been ticked off at James for some things he has said in this primary season. But I'm over it-all of it.

I'm ready to forgive and forget and just be a Democrat again. I accept that it will take other people a lot longer, but I have faith that we can all get along again.

so if you can get past the really annoying things about him, sometimes you can actually learn from him.
