This is silly.

1. Because people might not trust the speaker

4. Because, and I mean this in all seriousness, maybe the speaker has a different definition of concede
Just look at the reports coming out this early evening on MSNBC, CNN and NPR.

6. Because tomorrow McAulliffe may 100% deny she will concede.
After all, he just introduced her as the next President of the US.

7. She's doing this in a way that minimizes any positive impact on the Obama campaign.
Not saying that's necessarily intentional, but why make the "concession" at a quiet little event on a Friday afternoon rather than in a setting where she could use her considerable influence to support the party's effort to take back the White House?

Once I thought she would actively and positively support the eventual nominee. Now I think she'll just go back to New York and start plotting her next move - which is fine, because I don't trust the Clintons to actually help the campaign rather than undermine it.

8. She's never offered to "concede" (and most candidates don't... Edwards didn't.)
She's seemingly going to suspend her campaign. Hopefully endorse Obama. She keeps changing the date. It's silly.

9. I have an announcement!!
I plan on making a formal announcement of my intent to announce my concession from the race. Further information will be coming in a later announcement.
----
Cancel that first announcement. I now announce that my announcement of concession was premature and during the announcement I am merely going to say Obama has the delegates. No announcement yet as to whether I will endorse him.
----
My previous announcement was erroneous. I am now announcing that SATURDAY will be the day I announce my concession and I will also endorse him.

10. Because some people are too crazed to just move on and look forward to what is really important.
And instead insist on bringing up old wounds and contining to tear people down long after it is necessary.

11. When did she say she was conceding?
I heard she was suspending.

They aren't the same.

14. In a modern campaign it is just a technicality
Everybody "suspends" their campaigns these days because of some financing law that gives them better treatment versus simply closing up shop.

13. Because 2 hours ago it was Friday. Now it's Saturday
By morning it will be next week. Then by evening it will be "See ya in Denver, suckers!"
