I'm convinced a lot are you know....

007 wannabe's

Sometimes I imagine a boiler room somewhere... Young Republicans with pocket protectors and sixties hair do's, glowing "tommyknocker green," staring at cathode ray tubes... clicking away at ergonomic keyboards... scheming ways to piss us off at each other

Those are the two options, and this is no time to be throwing your vote away, but it's your vote, do with it what you will. If you want 4 more years of war, rising fuel costs, rising costs of living, foreclosures and nearly 50 million people with no health care, then yeah, vote 3rd party or McCain. :eyes:

29. Hey, you could try the schism church.
They use romper stompers. Less, uh, swaying in the Spirit, ifyouknowhatImean. They still sing hymns about "Springs in the Desert" but the services are much more staid... sort of like going from the Pentecostals to the Episcopalians.

22. You know what you should do
Go ahead and save yourself a little time. Take your post and copy/paste to a word document because I guarantee that you will have to say this again. It is amazing to me how people behave as if the internets is the actual real word. People concern about their feelings being hurt on an message board, what I call e-feelings. People telling others what to post and what not to post and if you post this I will not vote for Obama. I mean really, people are serious with that shit. It's as if the internets is their life and the real world just doesn't exist. People, actual people, are going hungry, dying in wars, dying from illness because they cannot afford health care and yet you got idiots that want you to coddle them and respect their fucking e-feelings. I say it now and I say it again. Somewhere in Iraq there is a young man and or a young woman who doesn't give a good god damn about your "e-feelings" All they want is a to come home to their families in one piece. I say think about that while your keyboarding away trying to black mail people over the internets because you want your "e-feelings" respected. I have never seen such crap before in my life.

Real people typing real thoughts and real feelings in order to communicate with others via an Internet forum.

Really, why even bother visiting an Internet forum except to find out what others are thinking? If you'll visit more than the DU forum, you'll find the mindset is pretty much the same all across the board. So regardless of what any one individual may communicate, it's the accumulative effect of hundreds of "anonymous" posters which creates a negative or positive impression of a candidate. I was surprised to learn that Democrats hate Hillary Clinton more than right-wingers. It's been an eye-opener to see the other side of the coin.

Supporters tend to have the same opinions and attitudes IRL, as well. Not as bombastic as on the Internet, but the sentiment comes through.

ETA: My vote won't change because of what "anonymous" posters write; only my opinions of those who do the writing. No different than having an opinion of someone whose voice you hear on the radio, an author of a book, a writer of articles, or a talking head on TV.
