CBS poll has Obama up by 6 pts.
But it is only that close because some Clinton supporters are still smarting. In a month, that will all be water under the bridge. Hillary will support Obama. Obama will keep saying nice things about Hillary. The party will unite. Obama's lead should then grow to double digits.

Bottom line: Those Clinton supporters do NOT want McCain appointed Supreme Court justices.

1. This is the nadir of support for Obama in the GE.
He will regain that monster lead he once had over McCain before Ms. Flick implemented her kitchen sink strategy.

2. NO ONE in their right mind wants McCain appointing SC Justices!!
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 10:21 PM by DFW
He said he would appoint more Justices like Roberts and Alito.

That should be reason enough for any Democrat (and any THINKING Republican,
for that matter) to vote Democratic, at least for President. Even Republicans
get stripped of their civil rights, along with the rest of us, if the SCOTUS
says they do. At least a few of them out there realize it. Otherwise Bob Barr
would be polling 0.006% instead of 6% in North Carolina.

5. Clinton has a lot of power now
But she is smart enough to see that her window of opportunity could close if she overplays this. She could be vice president, senate majority leader, or a nobody come January.

In the end, I don't think she wants McCain to win. And that's not just because such an outcome would be bad for her personally.

4. HOW CAN DEMOCRATS CONTINUE TO BE THIS FUCKING STUPID
More Democrats voting for McCain than Bush????????

This is why I changed party affiliation to Independent. Because of how many supported Bush. Democrats are ego maniacs. That continue to cost Presidential Elections with their stupidity

6. McLame Has Given the First Shot ...
... by calling Obama an "out of touch liberal".

What will the counter be?

Are Democrats going to continue to allow the term "liberal" to be a charge word, a word to be viewed with disdain?

Or will they finally learn to swing back and make words like "Republican" and "conservative" to be the manure they should be??
