2. Oh that was pitiful, I loved it!
Poor McCain, this is going to hurt all over, meaning the repub party and John. Senility is hell and I'm approaching it and it's best sometimes to keep one's mouth shut. Course on DU you can be stupid and hardly anyone notices, ha....

6. Obama is so cool and smart that I believe he could whip
McCain without a script during a debate, town hall, banter in a hallway, what ever. Who would have thought in Aug. of last year that Obama had a Chinamans chance in hell, just thought i'd be racial in my comment, to win this nomination. The reason I believe he truly has an excellent chance to tromp McCain is because most of us did not know him, but, when you begin to listen to him and see how he relates to people you realize he knows what he is talking about. After all my favorites lost during the primaries I had to decide between Hillary and Barack. It didn't take long to be terribly impressed with Obama. I have been fooled many times by the candidates and made poor choices. Well hell, I can't help but feel really inspired by his outlook on life in America. It's hard to lose faith in the American way and Obama has convinced me he understands all the issues that need to be fixed. He even mention our rights as citizens! Wow. We are nothing without hope and he gives me hope.

Yup, I'm white, pasty, old, uneducated and have worked goofy jobs in my life and put up with stupid male and female bosses while helping my husband through college. So many young people really are inspired by him and that is worth a lot during these dreadful times. Imagine, high school and college kids know there is a problem and they like what he says. Is America great or what?

7. Not Harold's best moment - "greatest speech" WTF
Except for poor, deluded Harold (still in pro Hillary/Mccain mode?) it was universally reviled and ridiculed

8. "This speech by McCain may be the best he's given on the campaign trail." (Harold Ford)
There's something comforting in the perpetual willingness of the DLC to go in the tank for the GOP.

13. It's one thing to be a middle of the roader but it's different than being DLC
All those DLC stories must be true. They don't get the real Democratic Doctrine.

11. did anyone watch Jon Stewart tonight?
"It was going so well..until your mouth ruined it for your face." and did a creepy imitation of McCain's smile. He also showed all of the clips of fox news anchors panning the speech :)
