6. and most of the people are in cities. cities are more progressive
than people who live in open fields, rock canyons, and the sticks. generally speaking.

7. It tells me that Hillary can carry what Obama can't and vice versa...
Edited on Thu Jun-05-08 01:17 AM by cynatnite
Whether that can translate into GE wins for an Obama/Clinton ticket remains to be seen.

This is a snapshot in time of dem primaries. No way to see how this would be in a general election.

If you were making a case for Hillary being on the ticket...this isn't it, IMO.

8. what is unknowable is how some of those Clinton voters or Obama voters
from early states would vote had they to do it over again.

Additionally, what would Michigan and Florida looked like had those been actual primaries?

10. In NO way am I making a case for Hillary

on anything but her analyst's couch. I think Obama can put together an electoral college win substituting western states for southern states and turning out the black and youth votes. His VP choice will almost not matter.

I just posted this because I thought it was interesting. Fancy pretty map colors an' all that. :)

11. It tells me Appalachian people, older folks and Hispanics aren't open to Obama
Edited on Thu Jun-05-08 01:14 AM by cbc5g
Hispanics will likely come around and vote for Obama, but most of Appalachia won't. However, with someone like Jim Webb on the ticket he can easily take Virginia and Ohio and Pennsylvania and effectively destroy McCains hopes for President. Most of Appalachia still won't vote for him, but who needs WVA and Kentucky anyways? I'd rather win with the non racist/nativist vote.
