Political fundraiser Antoin 'Tony' Rezko has been found guilty on some counts of corruption charges related to a kickback scheme for companies that do business with the state.

The jurors reached a verdict after 13 days of deliberations. A judge read it at 3:45 p.m. in federal court.

Guilty on 12 of 15 counts mail/wire fraud

Not Guilty on 1 count attempted extortion

Guilty on 2 of 6 counts corrupt solicitation

Guilty on 2 counts money laundering

In the process of this trial, they directly cleared Obama of any connection.

As for the Governor, apparently Rezko had to approve the people hired for him -- that's quite a connection. It's completely separate, however, from any Obama connection. McCain has a *much* closer link to the Keating Five, whose actions hurt a *lot* more people than this guy.

Who knows, maybe someday a bigger link than the lot next to Obama's house might be found with this guy.

But it hasn't yet, and you went to an awful lot of trouble to imply things. If you try to suggest you were just doing that to warn us all in some attempt to help prepare to fend off republican attacks, it doesn't wash.
