A "WTF?" moment from McCain's speech on Tuesday
When I heard this on TV I was scratching my head and thinking, "WTF is he talking about?" I'm looking forward to more of these moments between now and November.

2. Can you order dehydrated babies through the mail?
Then, reconstitute them with just a bottle of hot water?

4. Not just water, but HOT water
or maybe hot water bottles? You know, then you could use them to soothe aching muscles or, if your baby got dehydrated, stick a nipple on it.

"We should be able to deliver hot dehydrated water to bottled babies."

10. Yeah but he doesn't say warm bottled water babies.
He says hot bottle babies. Oh, I'm so confused.

14. I think he's been told to show how much he cares, by showing us how much he knows about the needs of
dehydrated babies, something like "Cold/cool water shocks a dehydrated stomach and causes addtional pain". I'd pretty clearly check out the recommendations for what one is supposed to do for a child who is dehydrated before I'd attack him publicly on this. You wouldn't want to appear un-caring or in-experienced in your "ignorance" (no insult intended - that's just what his web warriors would say).

It's just such an odd thing to say; there just might be a rationale for it, so I'd try to be prepared.

17. McCain wants 10 debates, the Obama camp should come back with 20..
what the hell, let's do one a week until the campaign is over. McCain will be reduced to a sniveling little cretin by the time it's over.

12. Mac's speech was weird
He kept smiling when it made no sense to smile. It was very odd.

18. That's his attempt at charm..
the man couldn't charm the backside of a bus if his life depended on it. Here was a group of his most avid supporters, and he could NOT connect with him. You're right, the whole thing was weird.

15. I'm still puzzling over, "For too long, we have let history
outrun our government's ability to keep up with it."

What does that mean? History is now in the future and our government is trying to keep up? Does that mean gov't is PRE-historic?
