4. Was talking to my boss, who is a Viet Nam vet

about these people and he said its probably lucky for them that they are still alive. According to my boss, these types were always the first to cut and run when things got tough and ended up getting killed because they often froze and made bad judgements. A lot of those types weren't "tough enough", so they have to rip others who actually were, so they could brag about things to their friends. This guy was all for invading Iraq, which I disagreed about, so he is no pacifist. But as a veteran of 'Nam, I do respect his opinion of this SBVT group. He is also voting for Kerry.

If you accept their story, then you are assuming then the entire system of vetting soldiers for heroism and awarding medals is corrupt. Admiral Zumwalt signed off on Kerry's medals, because he was presented with by-the-book testimony about the reality of Kerry's heroism. Must we then assume that the system is phoney? Nah..Just remember that Ray Hoffman, leading Swill Boat Veteran for Truth, reported directly to Zumwalt. The question we might all ask, over 30 years later, is why Hoffman didn't complain to Zumwalt about Kerry AT THE TIME?
We know the answer.
