Check-in Here if You've been Falsely Labeled As a Hillary-Hater |
|
I must be on the top-10 list of what Hillary supporters mistakenly call a Hillary-hater. To be honest, I'm tired of it. I can not even respond to a pro-Obama post with-out some enraged Hillary supporter calling me a hater. While I have attacked her actions and her policies and called her campaign a miserable failure, I have never used the C-word or B-word. In fact, the only times I have seen those words used here are by Hillary supporters themselves. I do know that there was an active campaign to get me tomb-stoned here. I just don't understand how these supporters can take their own anger and project it onto Obama supporters as hate. This has been one of the most tiring aspects of GD: P while it has existed. And I for one am glad it is nearly over.

2. I'm an open government Democrat called a Clinton hater by those who don't believe in the cause |
|
of open government and don't miss the responsibility of the citizenry to defend their right to open government accountable to the people.
Some Democrats have found they are comfortable with the secrecy and privilege of closed government benefiting only the powerful elite, and are willing to stick with Dem leaders who side with closed government.
So - smear us as Clinton haters when, more simply and more accurately, we are closed government haters and will pick a fight with ALL who those who stand in the way of open government and its Dem advocates.

24. Open government would PREVENT the secrecy of voting machines and their companies. |
|
That is a place we have to get to and will benefit every other issue, as well.
Closed government that we've been stuck with these past decades made it possible for the secrecy of the voting machine manufacturers - and I'd say it was set up exactly for that reason - to serve the needs of the privileged powerful elite.

She does some really great things.
She does some really awful things.
She's a better representative than ANY Republican.
I have a lot of respect for her, I just don't think she's the right person for President at this point in time, but I would have voted for her if she were the nominee.

30. I hate Hillary and I'm not posting to check in |
|
I hate her because first and foremost I'm a Democrat. I would have hated any other Nom if they had behaved as she has. I think she's a self serving narcissistic scumbag who cares more about herself than the policies she pretends to champion.
I don't hate Hillary supporters, and I don't hate her daughter, etc. But I group her one very small notch above Repiglicans at this point. So sue me. I still would have voted for her because keeping the veto pen outta pig hands is worth a lever pull.
So sue me. I'm not going to lie or shutup just to placate her supporters. They are adults after all and should be able to dismiss my feelings.

I hope she will rehabilitate herself in the weeks and months ahead, and transcend what she has done the last few months.
Hope springs eternal.

They can call me whatever the hell they want, I don't care. Sane folks don't take what people say about then on the internets to heart. I'm not saying your insane I'm just saying some people take what is said on the internets too seriously. Unless you have to go to bed at night with these people why does one even care? I'm sure they think I'm a hater of Hillary but I can honestly say I don't hate her. I have an extreme dislike for the woman and would never tell my three girls that she is a woman to look up to, that is for sure. I'm not on any Hillary fan club, I cannot stand to see her face or hear her voice but I don't hate her. Hate is a very strong emotion and there are only three people in my life that I hate and I know them personally. I don't know Hilly personally but from what I do know of her I can honestly say I cannot stand her.

12. Too many Clinton supporter are quick to label Obama supporters as "Hillary Haters". |
|
It is possible to not support her candidacy or what she says or does without hating her. It is even possible to not like her without hating her. Hate tends to become self consuming and defeating. Rather than deal with the fact that Obama ran a superior campaign, that he fought for the nickel and dime delegate counts to get every one he could, especially in the caucus states while Clinton either ignored them or had an ineffective organization (with all the money she started with, what was the excuse for that?). Clinton appeared to believe she would have things wrapped up after Super Tuesday and had no plan for after that. Then it became fashionable to blame the media and everybody picking on Clinton as the reason she lost, screaming "haters".
She not only lost, she got beat.

14. I was called a Hillary-hater when I was an Edwards supporter. |
|
I would say I preferred his position on healthcare and would just get blasted; the rules prevent me from identifying the deluded culprits. Take note that I was never attacked by Obama supporters When Edwards dropped out right before Super Tuesday, I went toward Obama because I dreaded what might happen to the party if the DLC got their chance to kick out Dean and run it (into the ground) again. It's taken a while but she finally has gotten me thoroughly disgusted.

And what really galls me is being called a "self-hating sexist" just because I don't automatically support her as a woman. Just because she's a woman doesn't mean I have to genuflect to her at the voting booth. Yes, I'd love to have a woman in the WH before I leave this world. But not just ANY woman and not just a woman for the sake of having a woman. That's actually anti-feminist when you get right down to it.

And I'll get over that, now that the primary is over. I wouldn't say it reached the level of "hate" though. That's an emotion I reserve for very few people, because its really wasted energy.
