NEW VOTER REGISTRATION TO COVER THE HILLARY 44 LOSS!!
Everyone supporting Obama should be volunteering their time to sign up new voters to cover the loss of these so called dems that will be defecting. There are 300 million people in the US. many of them have been disenfranchised, many have felt that they could not make a difference. I guarantee that there are going to be a lot of new people to the process this election cycle. They will more than compensate for the Hillary defectors. This is the new politics of getting more people involved in the process.

I speak spanish and I intend to go into the Spanish community and sign up people for Obama.

We are the ones we have been waiting for!!! Make a difference instead of complaining about the HIllary for 45 group. The repulbicans are going to be blindsided by the voters!!

2. Why not try and keep the ones we already had
in the Democratic party? New ones rarely vote and the ones we are loosing have always voted! Replacement goals are a sign of poor management and lack of leadership within our Party.

We need to get the Hillary 44 back!

8. I am not suggesting throwing them away, I do believe some will not be swayed.
We have a huge untapped resource in people who have never voted because they were not represented. We need to help make the difference in helping those people get involved. Instead of focusing on people that will have to come to terms with their voting decision.

23. Exactly
The new people that are signing up are doing so because they need and want change for their families. Those who have already part of the party should know what is at stake by now. If they do know and don't care then screw them. There are people out there with real life issues: Military families, people without health care, people losing their homes etc. They got more important things to worry about then their asses being kissed and they will come out and vote if we reach out to them.

35. hillary 44 people need to GROW UP. It was a fair election and she
lost. she can keep digging her hole or she can join the grown ups. either way, I doubt that we will miss the dead enders that can't get it and don't care about the country. a vote for mccain is a vote against the future of this country. take your own colonic.

3. all 10 of them?
I never object to voter registration efforts, but I don't think "Hillaryis44" represents anything more than an handful of grumpy bloggers with too much free time on their hands.

4. I wish the Obama campaign had a Latino project
where those of us who are bilngual could focus. I can register Latinos here but he doesn't need them here. It would be cool to be able to phone bank in swing state Latino districts. Does that make sense? In NM or NV or AZ, for example.

33. Send the campaign a message!
Send the campaign your ideas or thoughts. Most of the time, they do respond back:

http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/contact2

Also, here is the Spanish speaking phonebankers for Obama group:

http://my.barackobama.com/page/group/SpanishSpeakersPhonebankersforObama

Once the California and NY delegations and Dems are fully integrated to the campaign, we are going to see better organization in the coordination of latino outreach. Or that is what they tell me, anyways.

25. We did some of that here in Texas. On the software we had English
and Spanish options, and the campaign actively sought out Spanish-speaking precinct captains to do phone calls/phone banks. Many of the hispanics in Texas went for Hillary, but they can be persuaded. Barack's people will make sure we reach them.

28. That's good to hear. I'd feel better if I knew they had a nation-wide
outreach plan, though -- because I'm a mom, lol.

I've emailed the campaign two or three times to see if we can collect our assets and move them to the right places (like swing states) but, I don't seem to connect. It would be easy. They'd need one link to a page where we could download phone numbers for those venues.

29. So you're only interested in voters that can help not others who have been left out?
Get out the vote! Register the disenfranchised. But only in swing states where Obama needs the votes. Kinda undermines your pretense of inclusion, doesn't it?

30. I don't know why he (or we)
would be interested in voters who would NOT help. If voters feel left out, all they have to do is join in and make their voices heard to get a Democrat elected and to get their concerns listened to.

36. It's not like Texas is a swing state. It's a big state, but I don't think there's too
much chance of it going for Obama with McCain as the opponent. Still we will reach out. Reaching non-English speakers is a challenge and that is what we were talking about. Reaching out to Hillary supporters with a special chip on their shoulders is another matter that I'll pass on discussing because I'm tired of the negativity. I'll simply say please consider evolving with us, because otherwise you may find yourself left behind.

5. Excellent post and keep kicked for answers

I attended the GOTV Rally in Los Angeles.

It was Outstanding!

Is there anywhere on the Website for GOTV Registration tables?

For Kerry I worked 3 days a week at a local Mall( for about 4 hours a day) to GOTV and registered so many voters.

It was so satisfying and I want to do it again.

We worked at a local Mall.

Does anyone have a locations lists?

26. Heh. I was just writing about this in another thread. I wish I were
bilingual. There are so many people to reach out to in Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso. They went for Bush in the last election, but with some organizing it doesn't have to be that way again.
