2. NOOOOOOOOO
I hate to say it, but I bet she just wants it on there to force Obama to reject her, thereby riling up the 28-percenters.

29. her arguement would be that it didn't hurt Jack Kennedy in 1956 when he fought for the veep slot
but a floor fight after the longest campaign in history just seems too much

5. She has a lot of fucking nerve. It is historically the right of the nominee to choose the VP.

She can write her name on my ass in magic marker and it would be just as significant.

soundly checkmated from here on out.

the white queen has been taken, and there is one white pawn left and heading across the board.

10. She'd better submit to the full vetting, then
Because I can guarantee you, whomsoever comes out of Obama's vetting process WILL BE THE VEEP, regardless.

28. IF eh won't submit a donor list, she won't be the veep
It's that simple.

The convention will not go against the nominee on this.

That's why he introduced the vetting process.

Hillary would be fine, so long as she's fully vetted by the campaign.

26. why not, indeed
You are absolutely right. I think this whole anti-Hillary sentiment is a desire to see her humiliated. These people want her on the floor... Obama won the nomination. Hillary won't run on the ticket. So what's the point of continuing the screed?

She wants certain things and is willing to play hard ball to get them. So what's the problem? Obama will win in November. Why does Obama need her endorsement?

before the conventions became pre-produced and processed to the second

43. exactly... we used to look forward to seeing the conventions
because stuff really happened there. Now, it has become a scripted TV event and the ratings have dropped. Why? Nothing happens.

I say, let Hillary stay in till the end. Better ratings for the show... more enthusiasm for the party.

Edited on Thu Jun-05-08 11:43 AM by Jeff In Milwaukee
Ask yourself, "Why would Hillary want herself on the ballot if she's not interested in the job and not going to win it? Why would she intentionally cast herself as a loser at the convention?"

I think Andrea has taken to interviewing homeless derelicts and then passing it off as "inside information."

Two nights ago, she was on the MSNBC Election Coverage saying that Obama and Clinton had a secret meeting set for today. KO wondered aloud, "Why would they have a 'secret meeting' and then let people know about it?" Mitchell got this smug look on her face and informed Keith that this wasn't information that they "let people know" -- it was her investigation that unearthed the information.

No Meeting.

Andrea Mitchell is an idiot.
