if Hillary keeps her delegates, and something happens to Obama... |
|
does that mean she is automatically the presumptive nominee? :tinfoilhat:
Not implying that she wants anything to happen... But is she hedging her bets here?

1. No doubt she would profit, but I don't think that's her plan. |

5. why did she not ask her delegates to go to Obama? |
|
I am sincerely hoping for a good answer, with all that has happened in the primary, I am not completely comfortable yet.

7. because that rarely happens except with an incumbent running |
|
when the roll call hits whatever state that puts Obama over the top, then someone, probably a well known Hillary supporter, will move from the floor that the nomination be made unanimous by acclamation.
And it will be.

4. I think she's just suspending for the money and settling accounts |
|
but in any case, she doesn't have a majority of delegates, so it would have to go to a convention vote. You know, not so many years ago the convention was actually for picking a nominee, not just a big expensive party. If "something happens" post convention I suppose that's up to the DNC or the VP candidate at that point?

8. No. She is performing a service to the Party. It makes it so that enough pledged delegates... |
|
will vote for Her, and enough SuperDs can come over to Her - OR ABSTAIN ON THE FIRST BALLOT ---
that if, let's say, the Michelle "Whitey" tape exists (Which I doubt at this point, just an example, but would love to hear the O-man tell us "this is not the woman I married") -- Obama won't get to a majority of delegates, Hello second ballot, hello Gore, hello SOMEONE WHO CAN WIN!
