That's not just an honest mistake. I'm sorry but that is like a Bushism, only worse. I don't even think George W. Bush would have made a mistake like that. If this guy gets elected he will be the biggest puppet ever. Either he is a huge sham and really does not know foreign policy or he truly has dementia (and I suspect is the latter). My heart goes out to him and his family but when you say that Putin is the President of Germany, that is just not excusable.

Even considering putting him anywhere near the White House is a moral outrage. He is frankly unsafe.

Can someone give me details? I want to pass this on to dh, but it just sounds so fantastical. How bad was it - what were his exact words? Thx.

ETA: I used to think he was a doddering old fuddy duddy, with a hair trigger Irish temper, stupid, a bit sleazy given his role in the Savings and Loan failures. I am beginning to think he is a completely deceitful fricking fraud.

18. From what I recall he said that "I was in a conference
in Germany, and President Putin of Germany said........................."

This should have been used much earlier. This is from February 2007 when he just kicked off his primary campaign. This isn't going to help. MSM never touched it, and unless he made this gaffe after he clinched the nom, don't expect it to get resurrected.

27. Thanks.
It may be too late to use it, but likely once this GE race gets into full swing, the pressure cause him to do more of this, if this is a chronic thing.

Obama referred to visiting 57 states. Mistakes happen. There's so many things of substance (scary substance, but substance nonetheless) McCain has said, that it's ridiculous to be focusing on stupid little verbal miscues.

21. OMG.....McCain is out of Touch with Reality....he carries the 4 more years of Conservatism which
allows him, as President, to appoint more Conservative Justices...negating the Courts Objectivity....it will end up as a Partisan Court telling us how to live the Conservative way....

4 More Years of Pub Crap....

26. First it's racism, then it's sexism. I call this dumbism.
And it's well deserved.

Just imagine, they're in the situation room, "Mr. President, we have a situation. A missile with an unknown payload has just been launched from Syria."

Gramps: "Well, get Jacques Chirac on the phone and find out why he's trying to attack California!"
