Rasmussen Poll: Obama has "solid" lead in New Jersey over McCain
Forty-eight percent (48%) of likely voters in the Garden State favor Obama, as opposed to 39% for Mr. McCain, six percent (6%) for a third-party candidate and six percent (6%) undecided.

The results show that Hillary Clinton voters already are moving to Obama's column since the previous Rasmussen Reports survey in late March. At that time the Democratic nomination was still being hotly contested, and McCain held a statistically insignificant lead over each of his two potential rivals

Women, however, are viewed as a key constituency at play in the upcoming election, and here Obama clearly outpolls his GOP rival.

Fifty-three percent (53%) of women voters say they favor Obama, as opposed to 34% for McCain.

Among men, it's much closer: 42% for Obama, 46% for McCain.

1. I would hope so.
The Garden State would elect a vegetable if it had a (-D) next to his/her name.

2. Thank you
I have been becoming so dispondent at watching some of these states the media is hyping as "toss ups" and great states for McCain to make headway. I couldn't believe that NJ would turn to his asshole. I'd like to know more about some of the other "toss up stats". Is it true that places like Oregon, etc. really is seriously contemplating another Bush term? Any stats from these toss up states (current ones) would really be appreciated.

4. Obama up 48-39 in NJ is a "solid lead". But Obama up 48-40 nationally is "close".
So don't you tell me one vote doesn't make a difference!

5. McCain still has dreams of NJ according to Todd - in part because he hopes
to exploit Obama's "Jewish" problem. These guys are getting desperate already.

8. NJ will have McCain for lunch
We may not like the Dems that are running the show, but we're not going to commit suicide either.
