A week ago he was saying McCain's speech was great. How could you believe anything that Ford says.

2. The DLC is dying
and his ticket to being in the DNC was just revoked. His political future is over.

3. Let's hope! He's SOOOO jealous of Barack ...
His family groomed HIM to be the first black nominee/president
and now his DLC credentials are working against him. Waaaaaaaah!!!

9. I have seen him more than ever by watching Race for the Whitehouse.
My opinion of him now is that he is an empty suit.

26. A half-windsor is a crappy knot.
A reverse-windsor is the only way to go if ya gotta wear a rag around your neck.

27. Half Windsor is all i can do :(
I learned to tie ties in the skinny-tie era of the 1980s, before that it was just clip-on bowties. Hey... don't laugh they accented my pocket protector. I think Ford should have worn a skinny leather tie with paint splattered on it.

The tie he was wearing was green and leaned rightward, so maybe it fits.

28. What most folks call a half-windsor is actually a four-in-hand.

Here's a UK site (the call the reverse-windsor the Pratt) ...

34. You are correct, as usual
That's it. the four in hand. The Half-Windsor is always a bit cockeyed.

6. At least he is consistent NT
The brother is conservative. He agrees with Joe Scarsborough a lot.

Did you hear some of the bogus advice he tried to give Obama throughout the primary? If he was influential, he'd be on the inside. Next...

8. He believes that conservative Dems would be best able to win
and cites that one Congressional race in Mississippi since that Dem was pro-life. I don't agree with Harold Ford's philosophy.

16. I've despised him ever since that flippant "I like football, I like girls" comment back in 2006.
I thought the whole 'scandal' about him going to a Playboy party was b.s. but the way he compared women to a hobby like that was offensive and made him look like a jerk. He was clearly going after the Howard Stern demographic there and it backfired.

32. If I didn't know what party he belonged to I'd think he was a winger
I remember reading an op-ed a few months ago he did for (I think) the NYT. It could've been written by Newt Gingrich.

1. We need bigger tax breaks for corporations.

2. We need to make the Bush tax cuts permanent.

3. and several other Republican talking points he presented as his new ideas.

With the DLC helping the Repugs all these years is it any wonder we're in the mess we're in?????

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

35. One thing I noticed about Ford today,
David Gregory's show was being broadcasted on Racheal Maddow show while I was driving home. When Ford talks and you can't see him, he sounds just like Lindsy Graham. That's who I thought Racheal was debating!

36. He's always railing against liberals, but it's funny...
The DLC hasn't helped the Democrats in any way, shape or form. It was because of the DLC that the Dems lost power. Triangulation as a policy has failed!!
