Poll question: Should Bush Be Impeached? MSNBC Poll Vote Now!
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10562904/

I mean honestly, if somebody can get impeached for oral sex, I think our current leader requires a far harsher punishment. Trip to Guantanamo? No legal representation? Waterboarded?

(by the way you are going to laugh at the results of the MSNBC poll!)

Spying, the Constitution — and the ‘I-word’
2006 will offer up Nixon-era nastiness and a chorus of calls to impeach Bush

By Howard Fineman
MSNBC contributor
updated 4:01 p.m. ET, Wed., Dec. 21, 2005

WASHINGTON - In the first weeks and months after 9/11, I am told by a very good source, there was a lot of wishing out loud in the White House Situation Room about expanding the National Security Agency’s ability to instantly monitor phone calls and e-mails between American callers and possible terror suspects abroad. “We talked a lot about how useful that would be,” said this source, who was “in the room” in the critical period after the attacks.

Well, as the world now knows, the NSA — at the prompting of Vice President Cheney and on official (secret) orders from President Bush — was doing just that. And yet, as I understand it, many of the people in the White House’s own Situation Room — including leaders of the national security adviser’s top staff and officials of the FBI — had no idea that it was happening.

I truly thought that impeachment would happen that year - it took far too long to get even to this point. I knew as soon as Nancy Pelosi took impeachment "off the table" that we were fucked by our own party.

3. Too late for impeachment, but next year he should be extradited to The Hague
to face charges of crimes against humanity.

5. Now I would vote for that!
Congress isn't going to do anything with impeachment, but the Hague, not that sound like a much better idea!

13. I'd almost prefer that.
I want them tried and incarcerated and SUFFERING.

I'm ashamed to admit, well a little ashamed, that I'm afraid Cheney will die before we're able to make him WISH he were dead!

6. If only Dennis Kucinich could win in a general election
As an Ohioan I am so proud of Mr. Kucinich for bringing up articles of impeachment in the House. It will never succeed but at least he stands for his principles.

7. Huge response. Overwhelming result:
Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? * 621690 responses

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.

89%

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."

4.1%

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.

4.8%

I don't know.

12. It's getting air time! Thanks to Dennis,
all the bloggers who deluged the networks, and the networks who are actually REPORTING on this. A far cry from when the Cheney impeachment was the topic.

AMAZING results -- I hope that gives them incentive to pursue this (are you listening, Nancy?).

He should be tarred and feathered, then locked up for life. Impeachment is not enough for that bastard.

22. Have any of you heard Victor Buglosi -- and his new book accusing Bush of murder?
He's supposed to be on with Mike Mulloy but I don't know the date.

I heard his show with Peter B. Collins over the weekend.

Astounding!

Cordially,

27. Should he be? Yes.. Will he be? No.
Would I love to see Bush Impeached for his complete idiocy? Absolutely - but at what cost? If Obama heads down that street, it will possibly be at the cost of losing the GE in November.

So, this poll should probably be: What is more important - Winning the GE and NOT impeaching Bush, or losing the election and having McCain elected, but seeing Bush get Impeached?

I'm a forward thinker more then a backward looker - so i'm opting for the first option.. Winning the GE.

Just my opinion.
