How many people have you put on "ignore" during the primary?
I made it through the primary season without a single person on my ignore list.

3. None.
I enjoy noise and chaos.

I was bored one day and tried putting myself on ignore, but that didn't work.

4. Between 1-2. I tried to not have anyone on ignore, but
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 10:42 AM by myrna minx
from time to time, I would have 1-2 people on ignore. One person was out of respect, because I was fond of them, and another near the end, due to unhinged hyperbole.

5. I had 50 to 100 probably
And maybe 20 out of all of them were banned. Unfortunately, the majority of them were long-time DU'ers from 2001 :(

I released everyone a few days ago though and only had to put one back on ignore since.

6. Plenty. And many have been banned.
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 10:42 AM by redqueen
Coincidence? Probably not.

At times I've taken them all off... just to put them back on again when they act too trolley. I don't have the patience to wade through idiotic bullshit.

15. I was just looking at the primary tombstone retrospective thread...
...and most of the people who I would have ignored if I used the function had received the big granite cookie.

7. I was up to probably 30 but took them off ignore around Super Tuesday
thinking the whole thing was close to being over. Guess I was wrong.

Now I only have a few if any.

8. None most of it, a few late though
When it started to get real nasty here I put first a couple then eventually 8 or so people on ignore. Just the worst ones who didn't seem to want to talk but to bait people and fight. Once I got them out of the picture those who were left looked a lot more sane and easier to deal with.

None again now, got rid of it after the last primary since so many were making positive gestures at the time and I didn't want to hold the primary against anyone.

10. Zero. I don't understand why anyone would use that feature
If someone replies with "Your facts are intentionally wrong, you're making things up, and your refusal to reply proves it" I want to be able to reply. Maybe that's not how ignore works, but my assumption is that someone can say anything they want, and the person using the ignore function on them will never see it.

In fact, if there's some obnoxious member I don't care for, I hope they put me on ignore so I can call them on anything, any time, without having to endure a response.

Unless I'm missing the whole ignore concept, it seems like an idiotic feature to use on a message board.

11. I never use the "ignore" option - I either report abuse or
confront folks who are obviously trying to start a flame war. Besides, how could I ever talk anybody into the fact that our choice for president is a good choice if I put them on ignore?
However, there was a time when I was supporting HRC before switching to Obama and guess I got on a few ignore lists back then. Of course the Obama supporters wouldn't know I switched since I was on "ignore."

"Ignore" is what Bush does to Americans, so I think it's dumb to use it here, imho, unless the person is an obvious freeper.

17. Likewise. If it's against the rules, report it, otherwise debunk it.
That's my philosophy. Which, of course, has gotten me punched around a few times, but generally the people who objected to me the most have now been banned, and I'm still here. :)

I only figured out how to use it recently, but I had no interest. I find it interesting hearing what the Clinton supporters have to say, even the crazy ones.

zero - I've always thought of ignore as being equivalent to an ostrich with head in sand
or some child with his hands over his ears screaming, "I can't hear you" over and over
