A plan to counter the fake Dems on Clinton/Dem sites saying they will vote mcCain
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 11:49 PM by Donkey_Punch_Dubya
I noticed Ron Paul is out now. This guy is probably the best republican ever IMO. Doesn't make him great overall, but compared to other rupugs, he is superior. So, we know there are GOP operatives flooding the internet as supposed Clinton supporters who are angry and will vote McCain in protest. They are trying to convince some real Clinton supporters to follow their lead. Typical GOP garbage.

Well, how about we infiltrate GOP and McCain sites and say that we will vote Obama out of spite because Ron Paul was "pushed out"? I saw 2 comments like this on the CNN comments for the Paul exit story.

I tried to counter a week ago by registering on hillary's site and post the leaked memo about McCain people infiltrating Hillary sites to increase division and convince people to vote McCain for anger/spite reasons, but my posts didn't show up and I didn't want to go back to that site and try to figure it out. Whatever, this is a good opportunity to counter McCain. There are millions of old school-minded republicans that are pissed about Bush spending more money than any Democrat president ever by a huge margin. These people might hold their noses and vote McCain, but they can be convinced otherwise, namely to vote Obama in protest or not vote McCain.

What do you guys think? Is this feasible and a good idea?

Edit: Check that on the 2 comments, there are more just in the first 50 of 240+ comments: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/06/12/paul-suspends-presidential-campaign-forms-new-organization/#comments

4. It's not stooping, Paul is closer to Obama than to McCain, and
it's only a small white lie from there. We have refused to stoop as low as the GOP the last 2 elections and they used that to win (or "win") close elections because of it. If we have to get a little dirty only to level the playing field, then I say it should happen. Besides, this is not coordinated by Obama, it doesn't reflect badly on him and he's not even aware of it.

I think this will be a close election despite all the positive thoughts, and every little thing matters.

2. I bet your post will be deleted almost as soon as you post it
And your user ID will be banned at the same time.

I agree their sites are infiltrated by Republicans, but I think those same sites are RAN by Republicans so they can keep those Hillary supporters in the dark to the truth as much as possible.

3. Why? This isn't an attack on any Democrat. I was neutral in the primaries, not an Obama guy
I actually sort of took Clinton's side in some things, and Obama's on others, because of the crazy viciousness on both sides and the 5-1 Obama supporter advantage here in April-June. I've seen posts that are much closer to attacking Clinton or other dems than this one. That's not what I'm trying to do here. Is this the reason you think the deletion might happen?

I have to say, reading all of those CNN comments, there are about 5-10 people who will vote Obama in protest, 5 people saying McCain is better than Paul, 10-15 people saying Obama is better than McCain, only 1-2 people saying they will vote McCain in protest, and a bunch of others that don't endorse anyone and just talk about Paul. Looks MUCH different from the 15-25% of Dems that will not vote Obama that we keep hearing. Cool.

Some people there are saying Obama is closer to Paul than McCain is, so Paul fans should vote Obama since they both want to end the Iraq war. That is something to push as a counter, definitely.

5. No need for "spite". Obama's a better choice for Paulsters
Setting aside the freaks who won't vote for a black man, most of the Ron Paul people are rabid constitutionalists. Obama is a natural choice for them.

If I was Obama, I'd start reaching out to Paul voters and Ron Paul himself.

8. The should go over to Obama. Most of these folks are anti-war, pro-rule-of-law Repugs
Obama is a natural choice.

10. good call
I wonder if Obama will go after any of them, or even reach out to Ron Paul. Someone should call his campaign and remind him of that.
