Donating to Hillary Clinton is a very intelligent move. |
|
Edited on Fri Jun-13-08 06:50 AM by barack the house
Howard Dean said one of the biggest unifiers is the person in 2nd place. If we contribute to her every time she makes a good stump for Obama it encourages her to do more to help the cause. Now, the past has to be the past and let's work as a unit faster, smarter and harder than the Republicans. 2008 won't be like 04 or 2000, not this time, not with so much at stake. Let's work as one people.

I am willing to donate to her if she makes a genuine effort to help Obama, but I am waiting for now to see if Obama asks us to, because I want him to get credit for my donation. Otherwise the Clinton campaign won't know the donation is coming from Obama supporters.

It seems ridiculous that he isn't taking some blame for how her campaign was managed.

I've talked to a few online only her word counts. Yes, I know it goes to debt but I am saying if she earns some good will why not help, not obliging anyone to do so.

15. well, to be devil's advocate: this reminds me of a close relative |
|
who was constantly begging me for money. Even though I worked hard to support my family, their constant requests were draining any ability to save money for my own family, and they were spending the money frivolously (like asking for money for a car payment, and then using it to buy christmas gifts for coworkers, leaving her car payment unpaid).
In other words, it was rewarding poor spending judgment, which only encouraged further irresponsible behaviour in the future.
just my two cents.

I am struggling to make ends meet - I refuse to give her money to replace the millions she donated to herself. I'll gladly eat Top Ramen for a week to donate to Obama or the DNC, though. Her job as a democrat is to promote the nominee - she shouldn't need to be paid off to do that.

No-one has to donate though it's only a suggestion. I am not twisting anybodys arm here just throwing out ideas to get Obama past the post. I mean we wanna win yeah.

remotivate them. Showing some appreciation if she does wouldn't be a bad thing. I know folks will take issue with her but winning big is our safest sid of caution. I am not saying don't contribute to Obama just let's keep our voters together.

Given the right incentive she will do. It's just a thought if you are broke or not at peace with her it's ok don't do it, only an idea to consider.

I think Hillary's supporters might well consider helping her retire her debt, as a way to contribute to the Dem Party. Is it possible to do something 50/50, so a donation goes 50/50 between Hillary and the DNC in Hillary's name? I think that's a fair way to give the DNC a certain clout.
