In this day and time, I think the campaign needs a daily briefing crew to smack down rumors. |
|
Yes, I know they have web site up and that's great! It allows physical "evidence", like a birth certificate, to be viewed by the morons who question it.
But I'd like to see the campaign have a daily segment of their briefings that attacks the attacks. If no attack today, then talk about yesterday or last week or whatever seems to be persisting.
I don't suggest we have Obama do this himself. I don't even want his press 'secretary' or high level surrogates to do it. An earnest young, talented, press wannabe would be perfect. Put this person on as the warm-up act for the main daily presser so all the media types get to see it. Keep it short. A minute or three at most is all it would take unless there's some new, big smear. Refer constantly to the web site.
But don't allow **ANY**thing to lay unchallenged.

1. I agree. Back in the "Old days" the Clinton campaings |

would dispatch frequent faxes to news agencies. Not sure what, if anything, the campaigns do now.
