The right is going to hit Michelle hard and hit Obama on ethics....
Edited on Fri Jun-13-08 11:43 AM by senseandsensibility
they've flat out announced that they will do this.

And our side is going to remain silent about Keating Five, and all of Cindy's very serious moral problems?

To this day, the vast majority of Americans don't know about Laura Bush's car accident.

Even after Kerry was swift boated, we refused to get down in the trenches and fight back. If we don't fight back this time, we will get the same result. I guarantee it.

9. Your post: Four disjointed arguments in four sentences.

Anyone with a fifth grade reading comprehension could tell that from your post.

follow if you are making any attept to do so. Jouranalists often use this style, and I have a degree in journalism as well as English. But since you are not interested in the meaning of my post but in scoring cheap points against a fellow DUer, I will make no more effort to communicate with you.

Your subject
line is more confusing than the rest of the OP

I still do not know who the "him" is when you reference Michelle.

17. The him is Obama
I thought it was understood, especially since it was major news story yesterday that the right announced they would hit him on ethics. This not something I dreamed up. But I can see that if you aren't aware of this story, it might not follow.

Both attacks will fail miserably.

We have tons of material on both McSames to fight back with.

8. And they have no material whatsoever.
Which is why their attacks will fail miserably.

14. They had no material with the swift boat attacks
Edited on Fri Jun-13-08 11:39 AM by senseandsensibility
either. Somewhere in the archives of DU are my threads during August of 2004 in which I was warning DUers that people were taking this swift boating thing very seriously, and it was hurting Kerry. I received mostly condescending replies about how Kerry knew what he was doing. A favorite term at the time was "playing chess." You see, Kerry was playing chess and I was just too stupid to understand. I am a local activist and a labor organizer. I know that these kinds of attacks work against any candidate, and they will work against Obama if we allow it.

6. At this point, I trust Obama to do what needs to be done
regardless of what that is.

When he got up in GMA (?) and said, "don't mess with my wife" I think that went a long way. It may (will!) not stop them, but in the end it might be a better, more politically advantageous, stance than going into the gutter after Cindy or McCain's wrt his first wife.

If, however, defending Michelle and trashing Repukes for attacking her isn't enough, he'll know when to fire back.

I think one thing we learned from the primary is that this man KNOWS how to run a campaign, and his staff are second to none. They play for the long game and know how to win.

Snoozy McSame doesn't stand a chance.

7. I don't think so. Obama is a smart politician and he is not going to let McCain get away with that.
