Help John McCain pick a new campaign song
I'd like to suggest "Out of Touch" by Hall & Oates, or "I'm Going Down" by Bruce Springsteen - although I doubt any of those artists would give their permission for such use.

Your suggestions?

4. Psycho Killer by the talking Heads
I can't seem to face up to the facts
I'm tense and nervous and I can't relax
I can't sleep cause my bed's on fire
Don't touch me I'm a real live wire

Psycho killer, qu'est que c'est
Far better
Run away
Psycho killer, que'st que c'est
Far better
Run away
Oh yeah

You start a conversation you can't seem to finish it
You're talkin' a lot but you're not sayin' anything
When I have nothing to say my lips are sealed
Say something once why say it again

6. I think he's already been told by John Hall "Still the One" and Chuck Berry
"Johnny B Good" to cease and desist using their music at his appearances.

I think he could safely use that "proud to be an amurkin" crapfest without fear of repercussion.

Or maybe something by pants shitting Vietnam draft dodger ted nugent.

9. "Waterloo" by ABBA
Considering he likes them so much and his Middle East policy is so damned Napoleonic.

"Waterloo" - ABBA

My my, at waterloo Napoleon did surrender
Oh yeah, and I have met my destiny in quite a similar way
The history book on the shelf
Is always repeating itself

Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo - promise to love you for ever more
Waterloo - couldn’t escape if I wanted to
Waterloo - knowing my fate is to be with you
Waterloo - finally facing my waterloo

My my, I tried to hold you back but you were stronger
Oh yeah, and now it seems my only chance is giving up the fight
And how could I ever refuse
I feel like I win when I lose

Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo - promise to love you for ever more
Waterloo - couldn’t escape if I wanted to
Waterloo - knowing my fate is to be with you

And how could I ever refuse
I feel like I win when I lose

Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo - promise to love you for ever more
Waterloo - couldn’t escape if I wanted to
Waterloo - knowing my fate is to be with you
Waterloo - finally facing my waterloo

(bolding mine)

10. Cindy McCain likes "Sugar Mama" by Beyonce
I'ma be like a jolly rancher that you get from the corner store
I'ma be like a waffle cone that's dripping down to the floor

The way you do if for me I can't lie
About to be up in the mall all night

Whatever I get you putting it on
Don't give me no lip let mama do it all

Let me be, I wants to be, gots to be
Your suga give mama some suga mama
Suga ma-ma-mama
I'm your suga mama, suga mama

Let me be, I wants to be, gots to be
New whip, new heavy on the wrist
Cause I'm a suga ma-ma-mama
I'm your suga mama, suga mama

And I've always been the type to take care of mine
I know just what I'm doing

Don't you worry it's cool and everything is steady
Puttin' you on my taxes already, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I promise I won't let no bills get behind

35. Randy Newman is an incredible songwriter
His songs are a lot of fun. Another one I like is Political Science:

No one likes us-I dont know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens

We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They dont respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them

Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us

We'll save australia
Dont wanna hurt no kangaroo
Well build an all American amusement park there
They got surfin', too

Boom goes London and boom Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me

They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now
Lets drop the big one now

28. "Walk the Dinosaur" Boom boom acka lacka lacka boom
Edited on Fri Jun-13-08 01:47 PM by SaveAmerica
(Alert, alert, lady of the 80's alert)

Title: Walk The Dinosaur

Group: Was (Not Was)

Album: What Up, Dog?

Year : 1988
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyef-BItce8 (Double alert: big 80's hair)

Boom boom acka-lacka lacka boom
Boom boom acka-lacka boom boom

It was a night like this forty million years ago
I lit a cigarette, picked up a monkey skull to go (HA HA HA - MONKEY SKULL!!!)
The sun was spitting fire, the sky was blue as ice
I felt a little tired, so I watched Miami Vice

And Walked the dinosaur, I walked the dinosaur

CHORUS:

Open the door, get on the floor
Everybody walk the dinosaur

I met you in a cave, you were painting buffalo
I said I'd be your slave, follow you wherever you go
That night we split a rattlesnake and danced beneath the stars
You fell asleep, I stayed awake and watched the passing cars

And walked the dinosaur, I walked the dinosaur

CHORUS

*One night I dreamed of New York
You and I roasting blue pork
In the Statue of Liberty's torch
Elvis landed in a rocket ship
Healed a couple of lepers and disappeared
But where was his beard?????*

A shadow from the sky much too big to be a bird
A screaming crashing noise louder than I've ever heard
It looked like two big silver trees that somehow learned to soar
Suddenly a summer breeze and a mighty lion's roar

I killed the dinosaur, I killed the dinosaur

CHORUS

Any song that beings with "Lies, lies, I can't believe a word you say" is a good one for McCain. It calls him a girl too, so that works.

34. Metallica - "No Remorse"
No Remorse

No mercy for what we are doing
No thought to even what we have done
We don't need to feel the sorrow
No remorse for the helpless one

War without end
No remorse No repent
We don't care what it meant
Another day Another death
Another sorrow Another breath
No remorse No repent
We don't care what it meant
Another day Another death
Another sorrow Another breath

Blood feeds the war machine
as it eats its way across the land
We don't need the feel the sorrow
No remorse is the one command

War without end
No remorse No repent
We don't care what it meant
Another day Another death
Another sorrow Another breath
No remorse No repent
We don't care what it meant
Another day Another death
Another sorrow Another breath

Only the strong survive
No one to save the weaker race
We are ready to kill all comers
Like a loaded gun right at your face

War without end
No remorse No repent
We don't care what it meant
Another day Another death
Another sorrow Another breath
No remorse No repent
We don't care what it meant
Another day Another death
Another sorrow Another breath

Attack
Bullets are flying
People are dying
with madness surrounding all hell's breaking loose
Soldiers are hounding
Bodies are mounting
cannons are shouting to take their abuse
With war machines going
Blood starts to flowing
No mercy given to anyone hear
The furious fighting
Swords are like lighting
It all becomes frightening to you
Know death is near
No remorse

37. Monty Python - I've Got A Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts
Down at an English fair,
One evening I was there,
When I heard a showman shouting
Underneath the flare:

Hoi've got a lo-ve-ly bunch o' coconuts.
There they are a-standin' in a row.
Big ones, small ones, some as big as yer 'ead!
Give 'em a twist, a flick o' the wrist,
That's what the showman said.

Hoi've got a lo-ve-ly bunch o' coconuts.
Hevery ball yer throw will make me rich.
There stands me wife, the idol of me life,
Singin' "roll a-bowl a ball, a penny a pitch!

Singin' roll a-bowl a ball, a penny a pitch!
Singin' roll a-bowl a ball, a penny a pitch!
Roll a-bowl a ball, roll a-bowl a boll, singin' roll a-bowl a ball a penny a pitch!

Instumental

I've got a lo-ve-ly bunch of coconuts (They're lovely!)
There they are a standing in a row.
(One, two, three, four)
Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head
(And bigger)
Give 'em a twist, a flick of the wrist, thats what the showman said.

Now that hoi've got a lo-ve-ly bunch of coconuts.
(La-da-de-da-da)
Hevery ball you throw will make me rich.
(Have a banana)
There stands me wife, the idol of me life,
Singin' roll a-bowl a ball, a penny a pitch!

All together now!

Singin' roll a-bowl a ball, a penny a pitch!
(Harmony!)
Singin' roll a-bowl a ball, a penny a pitch!
Roll a-bowl a ball, roll a-bowl a ball, singin' roll a-bowl a ball, a penny a pitch.

Instumental

Singin' roll a-bowl a ball, a penny a pitch!
