Who the fuck is this Tara woman on MSNBC saying Obama can't speak? |
|
Where do the media FIND these Repubucican black women?
I live in an area with lots of black people. I interact with a lot of black people. I have never met a black Repubican woman. I have met black Repubican men. But never a woman.

Finding a Black Republican is like finding a needle in a haystack. They exist, but they are ten percenters. I wouldn't get worked up over this because Black Republicans represent an insignificant percentage of Black voters.
Did this person swoon over McCain's speech the night Senator Obama sealed the nomination?

|
Do they really think that if one black woman makes an accusation, all the others will believe it? Or is it a lame attempt to be "fair" by presenting an opposite view? I don't get it either.

Why would anyone want to belong to a party that believes you don't/shouldn't exist?

8. Here's the explanation. |
|
Many Black Republicans that I have found are attracted to the selfishness of the Republican Party, and nothing else. Speak to a Black Republican, and 9 times out of 10, you'll notice that the conversation will immediately turn in the direction of taxes, unless you meet a real self-hating Black Republican. Those are the worst.

12. oh, lets don't - it is too painful. |
|
I am a real sucker for fine oration - one reason I love to listen to Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean or John Edwards. I can add Obama to that short list.
Public speaking is an art. When I was in high school - stay w/ me here - we were required, in my sophomore year to take speech - had to give a 5 minute speech as our final exam. (I think the speech teacher recruited debate team members from those classes) At the time I thought it was dumb - hey at 15 everything 'required' is dumb. That class has served me well. I am not afraid to speak at city council meetings or in front of large gatherings. I can organize my thoughts and speak my mind if the need arises. Too bad a class like that is no longer required.

10. Well there is Condi Rice, a black Republican woman. |
|
When she says Obama can't speak does she mean he's inarticulate or something else? Because if she's saying he's inarticulate that qualifies for a bold faced lie. The reason Obama rose to where he is now is because he got the nation's attention with the outstanding speech he delivered at the Democratic convention in 2004.

18. This crap about gender and race determining one's politics is detestable. |
|
Edited on Fri Jun-13-08 12:31 PM by TahitiNut
It's a denial of an individual's uniqueness ... just more objectification of human beings. As a liberal, I find it disgusting that ANYONE would vote for a fascist, and I don't give a rat's ass WHAT their gender, race, religion, or ethnicity is.
Am I somehow required to vote along with the majority of white males??? I don't think so. I'll be damned if I condemn someone for having views distinct from some stereotype of their demographic commodity-type. It's IRRELEVANT.
Does the media choose its "spokesmodels" for their appearance - furthering the objectification of human beings? Ubetcha. Fuck 'em. I won't buy into it ... in EITHER way.

Contessa Brewer was just a weekend anchor and field reporter out of Wisconsin and got picked up to read the news on Imus' show. Now she's in NYC? That's a huge leap.

Race is never a basis for judging peoples' politics. It's evil when Republicans drag race into politics and it's evil when we do it. Calling Michelle a "baby mama" is not okay and neither is calling out that idiot's idiocy on account of her race. If she's an idiot, she's an idiot. race isn't involved.

|
I don't know why.. maybe it sounds too much of televangelist type minister which I despise.
But saying that Obama can't speak is totally ridiculous. Compared to McCain a white boy Obama totally outclasses McCain. Obama doesn't need prompting while McCain needs to be prompted by Lieberman. I wonder if this woman has even listened to McCain?
