McCain will make the SCOTUS decision yesterday in Boumedien a campaign issue
"The United States Supreme Court yesterday rendered a decision which I think is one of the worst decisions in the history of this country," McCain said. He went on to quote from Justice Roberts dissent in the case, rail against "unaccountable judges," and say that the courts are about to be clogged with cases from detainees.

Odd that a guy held prisoner for 5 years would be against this.

My problem is, in a "real war" I can understand the reasons for suspending "the great writ" but the war on terror will go on forever (and has gone on forever). What about suspending it for the war on drugs? The war on poverty?

1. I agree. Lincoln suspended it, but we were in an actual war, not a "conflict."
