2. I Do Not Like That
Gallup is tricky...They are polling registered voters... Closer to the election they change their model to likely voters and we get a very different portrait of the race...

5. Indeed and I don't trust their polling methods
I don't have a landline - I will NEVER be polled. Polls like this get more and more innacurate every year - skewed to the older population that still has land lines.

6. Gallup Is One Of The Few Pollster That Include Cell Phone Users
My problem is they will go to a likely voter model that can give a different portrait of the race...

7. Which do you think is more accurate, the now or later?
And how does this measure the electoral map?

9. The Likely Voter Model Should Be More Accurate
The Electoral College vote follows the popular vote albeit not exactly as we learned in 00...

11. Yes but doesn't distribution make all the difference?
For example I imagine that much of McBoosh's support is in places like TX and KY, where it is probably damn near total. Then in say CA, he has 25% of the vote or so.. but that's a lot of people.

Electorally I would be surprised if Obama wasn't way up.

19. A land line can save your life
Calling 911 on your cell phone can easily lead to your call being routed to the wrong area's emergency department. A relative of my neighbor actually died, because of this.

It's also kind of hard to use a fax machine with a cell phone. ;)

I will ALWAYS have a land line, as well as the cell phone.

8. this has not been a good news cycle for Obama. With McCain being all whiney and Obama on defense
I hope Obama can come out stronger next week. Not really a good week for him.

Why do people expect these things not to fluctuate randomly?

13. Well, Yeah, It's Not Much Different Than The WSJNBC 46%-41% Finding
A robust double digit, demoralizing lead for the Republi(cants) would be nicer...

14. that's what I'm talking about!
I want to see us polling 10-15% higher. Yea, that isn't likely but the more Obama just attacks, attack, attacks the better. McSame is a fraud and getting a free pass by the media.

15. Well
Don't forget that in 1960 John Kennedy beat Richard Nixon by less than two tenths of a percent or 100,000 votes out of 68,000,000 votes cast...

17. I Read
I read that whatever shenanigans were pulled for Kennedy in Democratically and Daley controlled Chicago was canceled out by shenanigans for Nixon in Republican controlled down state...

Don't forget Nixon needed more than IL to win the EC...

18. MSM trickery working. They need it to be as close as possible.
Just about every news story I heard about Obama this week was negative; I even heard him called boring and running a ho-hum campaign. It's barely gotten started.
