McCain's Wall Street "Town Hall" ---pix--->>>
Edited on Sat Jun-14-08 11:57 AM by Stephanie

Federal Hall is conveniently located on Wall Street, right around the corner from the Stock Exchange.

Obama counteroffered one town hall and an extra debate, which McCain waved away. He showed up alone Thursday night at Federal Hall on Wall Street, acting aggrieved. “This would have been a little more interesting tonight if Senator Obama had accepted my request,” he said.

For sure. This particular event, in which the audience was made up of Republicans waving invitations, was possibly the best-dressed town-hall meeting in history, and certainly one of the most boring. The questions ranged from whether McCain shouldn’t talk more about being a war hero to how he would overcome partisan gridlock in Washington: “You put your finger on what needs to be done!” the candidate said happily. (The answer, like virtually everything in McCain’s repertoire these days, involved vetoing pork-barrel spending.)

1. What? Most boring? Has McCain outdone himself this time?
I thought of a pretty mean-spirited caption for the first one, but I'll restrain myself.

Anyways, what? McCain's talking to a bunch of white Republican businesspeople? What a shock.
