1. Why even bother?
We all know how AOL polls go. Personally I wouldn't waste my time worrying about it.

6. Do you think they know how to clear cookies?
I think AOL users are the least computer savvy on the internet. Many are older Americans, so no surprise that they favor McLame.

Republicans are so far ahead, they'll be able to stay home comfortably, just watching the returns roll in on teevee!! Oh what shall become of us?!

13. It was the same way all through the primaries
Hillary Clinton led Barak Obama by similar margins through the primary season. The electoral map looked about the same for him against her as it does against McCain. I wouldn't put too much stock in an AOL straw poll.

14. OR is the only full blue state on their result map
That just seems odd but maybe OR AOLers are simply on board with Obama.

20. if visuals account for anything
and they often do, to the point of discrediting reasoning, aol certainly didn't try to skew things mccain's way with those pictures. mccain looks awkward and constipated, obama looks confident and amenable. i just read a thread with a picture comparison of an obama rally to a mccain event and it came to mind that the picture aol used for obama in this poll is one i'd often put side-to-side with mccain.
