This is getting big press in Salt Lake, because it's, well, racist. However, the guy who created it (living in conservative suburban Salt Lake), does not believe it's racist and rather a cute doll to celebrate Barack Obama's accomplishments. Uh huh.

This guy may not be a racist, but he's racially ignorant and you'd think after people complained, namely the Utah NAACP, he'd stop production. Well he hasn't. Contact the guy from his website and tell him what you think of his so-called cute sock puppet.

Please. If you are not serious, please let me know. Please put a link somewhere on your site to say that no, you are not actually selling a toy monkey with the first African-American Democratic presidential nominee's name pinned to the lapel, that you are just attempting to make a joke and get a rise out of people.

Even though the joke wouldn't be funny in the slightest, I hope this is satire. Otherwise, you are either incredibly ignorant, incredibly racist, or both.

And if this is some kind of a joke/parody/satire website, please be aware that it is traditional to have a link somewhere on the site that points to a page explaining the joke. For examples of a few spoof sites:

http://www.landoverbaptist.org -- their Email/Contact page specifically says they are a parody site.
http://ibuystrays.com -- they have a link off of their front page with a letter from PETA explaining that they are a parody site trying to point out a serious issue.
